Is Goh one of the least-played characters online?

I fight against Goh online all the time. The character I see the least is aoi and I have only played against 2 aoi players online on PSN and Live combined

Goh? Least played? Haha, you must be mistaken. I think you meant Taka. As I have seen only one in about 100 games.

I've seen quite a bit of Goh, actually. From my experience, he's the most used character currently, even above Jacky.

I see him alot. Someone I don't played regularly is Akira.

Eileen or Lau are probably the least played from what I've seen. On both PSN and XBL I've only fought a total of 2 Laus and 3 Eileens. I've fought all the other characters numerous times, Taka even...

I main Goh, so I see him every game.

The character I've faced the fewest times has to be Lion. He was a little tough to win with in vanilla, so I'm thinking people must not know how good he is in FS.

Over time, people will switch mains, so the distribution of characters is bound to change. In vanilla I started with El Blaze, the moved to Goh, and finally Lion. But Goh was probably my best character so I stuck with him starting FS. His gameplay has been greatly simplified and he has some excellent new moves; I'm loving him in FS at the moment.

Which is weird, because Jeffry's game in Final Showdown is significantly improved, so far as I can tell. Also, there were lots of Jeffry players at Final Round XV. SEGA rep Jeff even commented that there aren't as many Jeffry players on the West coast, but he seems to be common here on the East side. On a side note, he said it's the exact opposite for Lion.

But yeah, I've only fought one Jeffry online; he didn't seem at all familiar with the game. Now, this was on the first day, but the fact that I haven't run into a Jeffry since (I'm looking at you, Ookin) is certainly telling.

I like Goh as a character. I'm no good with him (despite beating Dural without a loss in arcade mode), but I always pick him up every now and then.
Now, that would be a surprise. I've seen more of Jacky and Jean than anyone.

Are you trolling me?? Jeffry significantly improved?? I don't want to steer this thread into off-topic but no, just no.

Hey, I wouldn't know. I never really touched Jeffry before, but I love playing him in Final Showdown. I think he feels better than he ever has, enough at least to get me legitimately interested in learning him. But that's just me.

Oh, yes. Topic. Goh. Talk about Goh.

Kamais, I think Jeff is significantly better in FS. His new strings really help his pressure, the double low punch for a knock down is good, and others I can't think of off the top of my head.

But beating Jeff is a lot more difficult in FS. IMHO anyway.

No kidding. I used to be able to screw around and experiment a bit more against Jeffry, in regular 5. I've gotta be much more careful against him, now. And like I said, he feels super comfortable to me, all of a sudden. That's got to count for something.

I've only seen Goh once ever. Online is plagued by Jackys.

This. Jacky is to VF what Ken/Ryu/Akuma/Pretty much any Shoto is to SF. Just played a set of 20-25 ranked matches, searching worldwide, and got 8 Jacky's in a row from about match 6 - 14. Crazy -_-

But, on topic, I don't think so. I have fought quite a few Goh's, I have a PSN friend who's main is Goh, and he's quite good with him too.
    I've certainly fought a lot more Goh's, than say, Eileen's or Taka's.

Must've jinxed it. Just played online and fought another Goh. Whoo!

In Asia region. Have not seen a single Jeffry.

I finally saw a Jeffry in Online Replays and got all excited. Loaded the replay and turned out it was someone's Sarah using a dummy Jeffry as his combo practice. /:-(

Why the F would you upload that...

Jeffry is probably the character I have seen the least of.

On XBL I've ran into way more Vanessa players than Jackys. Not to say that I didn't run into a lot of Jackys. Just yesterday I played about 40 or so games and about 24 of them were Vanessas.

I still haven't seen a single Jeffery and hardly any Eileen or Blaze players. Oddly enough I ran into barely any Akiras as well.

I've seen my fair share of Goh dudes though.

Goh, Jeffry and Kage are the least popular from what I've seen so far, I main Goh myself and it can be hard work at times, I love the character so I'll stick with him even though I think I'd have a much easier time if I switched back to Vanessa; I can understand why most people (especially new players) would prefer Jacky, Jean, Lei Fei over Goh or Jeffry those characters are easier to play and probably more fun too.
