And yeah, I'm getting T6 for PS3. I'll finally get a chance to actually play some of the new characters...

@Violet: Yes, apparently so. Also, Tekken's project chief said the PS3 will be the best version because the arcade games (6 and 6BR) were built and developed on PS3 hardware.

 

I guess I have to send some friend request out to a few of you guys then. I'll be on both, but I'll be playing the PS3 version most of the time. Oh, and I tought it's been know we were getting BR for console already? Or that was just assumption by most people, including myself? Other then that, can't wait.

 

I think everyone knew it was BR on console, but having the PSP thrown in was a bit confusing. Then there was the issue of "Bloodline Rebellion" not being used in the console titles.

Now it's all sorted though, with Lars and Alisa on the official Tekken 6 console page.

 

I think it was TGS when they announced it was for 360 too, back then in the trailer it had BR in the title, they even spoke to the director or someone and he mentioned it was BR at least twelve times.

They even shown the BR only characters, don't really see how people got confused.

OK so I was reading slide posts on SRK,

Slide seems of the opinion that the people of this forum are too quick to criticize Tekken without having learned to play the game properly.

I think this is bizarre. I clearly don't play Tekken as much as VF because I find the game ugly and boring. IF I found Tekken more interesting than VF, then I would not be here on VFDC all the time, but probably hang around tekken forums I guess.

I dont see the problem with people critizing Tekken on this forum. I mean, I am actually here because I don't like Tekken.

Maybe there are other things that bring people closer to each other. Maybe the people who like cheesecake get on very well with the fans of lemon meringue pie.

But fighting games maybe are not exactly the same thing? I find tekken boring and terribly uninspired. I hate the way it controls and I hate the robotic way it moves. If tekken was more like SC I would play it more... but to me there isn't enough to keep me interested.

Just some added info: Mr.Naps is one of the best Bryan players in the world, probably second only to KNEE(Korea). MDJ is arguably the best Hwoarang player in the world, which explains why they almost never miss any combo, even if they're tricky to pull off.

But I already watched a lot of YT vids, and played TK1-2-3 in the arcades back in the day, and I have TK tag-4-5 for PS2. When I play tekken I wish I was playing VF or SC or Rumble Roses lol.

 

I understand where you're coming from. SC "feels" a lot like VF. Tekken doesn't. Movement in Tekken is there, but it has to be done manually - every character has the bone basic stuff, but all the advanced stuff (which you'll see a lot of in the vid by MDJ), is character-specific.

LOL. I've been playing VF since 1, Tekken since 1, and SC since Edge.

All 3 are great when you get into them, it's really that simple. I don't play anything else aside from those 3 because the quality each of them have is on a totally different level compared to anything else.
