Is Vanessa still black in vf5 fs?

I'm pretty awesome at stereotyping too tho I was pretty disappointed when I saw our Muay Thai guy wasn't a Thailand dude.

I do remember thinking Jeffry was Jamaican back in VF1. Back then anyone with dreads had to be jamaican.

I don't know about other vanessa players but, in my defense, it's because of the dramatic changes she underwent from VF4evo to VF5. It's not only her skin tone, it's the body type, lots of bulk is missing, her idle animation was altered for the 2nd time (and again changed for VF5FS too, ffs), her voice sounded different too, long story short, it was too much for me. So i "bleached" her, changed her ring mode name from Big Bertha to a more generic Howitzer and pretended she was a different character.

Eventually, after unlocked enough quest mode stuff, I was able to unlock a darker tone skin and pile up a bunch of weapons on her to make her appear "bulky" again. But, by that time, I had played pretty so much online with the bleached setup that, to be honest, I sorta got used to it. So the bulkier, dark skin tone customisation became an alt costume.

Apologies being a fickle fanboy I guess?

 

VF needs Devil Gene, Cyborgs, Animals and demons.

 

Jeffry is aboriginal. I just had a vague notion that Vanessa was from Brazil because of the lightening they did on her skin tone and her fighting style. Her stage is near a jungle waterfall so it's in the Amazon obviously (hah!). Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me

 

Didn't you fight Dural underwater in VF2? They should use this idea again but with the devil shark as a playable character.

 

Theres jungles outside of Brazil (I can do this forever) and aboriginal means "original people" you can be white and be originally from some place. (Okay that's reaching, Americans still see him as the big black guy, and that's all that matters to me)

Vanessa's blackness was that extra flavor on the cake that got me into buying VF4 back then. A strong black woman? What? *Bought the game sooo fast*
What I want to know was what made those junkies up at Sega's HQ think bleaching her up was needed. I dont wanna hear that ol' J6 did this and that and whatever the story writers told you.
