Not to sound like a jerk but alot of your combos arent valid and dont work in matches. It is more entertaining to watch combos that work. Again, not trying to be a jerk. Make a combo video sure. But make one where the combos can actually be done in matches. It doesnt help a beginner to teach him invalid combos

Honestly i tought it was vs a cpu player, in that case a struggle icon won't appear. But it doesn't seems so. I wonder why i didn't si a struggle icon on taka arashi after the first wall hit.

For those who have had success becoming practical with doing Iaigeri ([6_][K]:[G]) during juggles in actual matches:
How are you inputting Iaigeri mid-combo? Does anyone use the [2][3][6] method? I tried to find match-videos with the input display on so I can see how good players input it.

I thought I was getting pretty good at doing Iaigeri, but it gets tougher as I try to do it in juggles because the buffering of previous moves throws off my timing.
(example: inputting Iaigeri after I've just done a [6_][P]. I always end up hitting [G] too soon even though I'm inputting it the same as I always do.)

Um, I think the best thing to do is not the [2][3][6] one. I dont that variation. I just hit [G] after I do [6_][P] then Iaigeri. the [2][3][6] Variation does work, I just dont prefer it

I didn't know you could input Iaigeri that way. Using [6_] to input Iaigeri isn't too hard to get down. If it were a 30 frame charge time, it would be a different story (it's only an 8 frame charge time). I tried the [2][3][6] method and I agree with Chibiaya on this one. The extra motion onto that command bugs the heck out of me.

The way I personally do combos involving Iaigeri is avoid buffering it at all costs because when you buffer it, you have to delay the [G] or else it will just feint. Instead of buffering Iaigeri, I buffer the move before it (usually [6_][P]) and then input Iaigeri right after that move recovers. Doing it this way is pretty easy and you won't have to get used to timing the [G] input differently.

Don't feel bad for messing it up. Even the best Jacky players mess up Iaigeri from time to time. Just make sure it doesn't ruin your gameplay. I dropped the combo a few times yesterday and it frustrated me into dropping the combo even more and generally playing like a complete idiot.

Him and I will be working on it this Friday. I have a capture card, so it won't be camera quality anymore.

Just sat down to try this, not seeing how it's helping at all. Is it just something to help you find the rhythm? Or is it playing with the system somehow?

Still seems really strict to me, and I played him in Vanilla.

So the way you buffer the hold 6 changes the timing of the G press? I didn't know this, it's always been that way?

Mid-combo its pretty easy to just hold stick forward and do it. The quartercircle method is mainly for doing a stand-alone iaigeri as pressure move etc. (but I just walk forward to do that as well)

Also, I can reveal a secret why Im getting more proficient with iaigeri. It's Practise. The more I attempt it, the more I start getting it right.

Nooooo, not the [6_] part. The [K] part. If you buffer the [K] during a move, you have to time the [G] later than normal for Iaigeri to come out.

Pretty much this exactly. Also you rejected my friend request a couple of weeks ago. Why? [IMG]

I try to keep only people who I can play with in my friends list, this excludes everyone in United States unfortunately.. But most likely it was a case of not knowing your nick.. accepting all friend invits led to full friends list in XBL for about 4 years for me, and then I just delete those who havent logged in a long time to make room for new.. never having any interaction with those people. Whats the point in that? [IMG]

How much later are we talking here? Having a hard enough time doing this as is lol, that K,P,G timing trick on the first page seems to have no effect on the timing.

Oh and does it change the timing if you clean your inputs with G? So like launch, P, G, [6]K~G?

The time between when the system registers your button press, to the moment when Jacky is actually free to move. This time is actually quite considerable and has been the main reason for my difficulties in iaigericombos.

There is an alternate method though apart from buffering. you can just time the K press to exactly when the buffer window ends. It may require near just-frame timing to do it in a combo, but then the time between K and G would be exactly the same as when you do a stand-alone iaigeri. It might make things easier for you.

If you buffer the K press, you know you will get the kick come out as early as possible (important in combos), but then you will have harder time finding the timing of G.
