Though by responding I'm contradicting the following, but why does anything follow after this post? It's dead on. Of course, this issue predates the slew of online-tards.

I believe it could be summed up better with, "players who monkey around in dojo for several hours a day should not be rewarded by the system for their diligence."

Hmmm... not sure the relevance but I believe I have written in the past that I thought that the D options could be changed and it might help. Specifically I suggested getting rid of evade cancels and that crouch staggers be turned into nitaku situations. Maybe in reality that would suck. I am just throwing it out there.

And yes, players like Sebo are frustrating to fight against because they have honed their defensive skills to a razor sharp edge and can, through the application of their extensive skills, take away nearly all opportunities for guessing games. I have been known to throw in the towel when faced with such an overwhelming opponent.

And as far as Tekken goes, I guess the Nerdocracy has spoken. It serves me right for coming on Tekken.com and spewing my hate speech. I recant. My new official position:

Tekken's popularity is directly proportional to its awesomeness. In America, it has four times the players of VF because it is four times as awesome. It is a game so technical, only the smartest 1% of humans can even comprehend the character selection screen. Furthermore, there is no such thing as spam in Tekken. Spammers who try to play Tekken, quickly put Tekken away and go back to VF when they realize that spamming will get them nowhere (but not before being identified as gay by an observant Tekken player and subsequently notified of their status).

And the art direction is beyond perfect. No VF character will ever have hair as high as Paul's. The male characters in VF will never have pecs and abs as shiny, steely, and hairless as those of the manly manly men of Tekken. And when will VF step into the 21st century and find some characters who can fly and shoot eye lasers? I'll not hold my breath for that one comrades. In conclusion, I would like to say that Tekken obviously does not have a breakdancing kangaroo and anyone who says that it does is racist against kangaroos.

You guys can like VF if you want. Just accept that I think it is lame and that I can have whatever opinion I want about it and I am not "wrong" any more than you are. Go ahead and practice your ETEG nonsense. Meanwhile I am perfecting my 14-hit Combo of Ultimate Kanga-pwnage!

One thing I always liked about VFDC is that someone can like other games, even defend other games without someone feeling like they stole their lollipop.

I think Happy was being sarcastic about Sebo's skills... but I think he really does mean the whole "throwing in the towel thing" and that's kinda sad but hey, to each their own.
Some people have what it takes to be the best but they don't see it as something worth shooting for.
Personally, I think that all good players have a higher level of pride than most other players. Pride is a big part of the reason why players spend hours in Dojo and reading frame data.
It seems that there are way more players in Japan that take way more pride in their VF skills than in the U.S.
