Finally got to sit down and play some with the doc himself. He didn't show me his credentials but from the start I could tell he had a PHD in facial reconstruction, with his only tools being elbows and knees.

Like I was saying in the ggs thread, I have a problem with Brad. Maybe someone can spot it. Unfortunately I only uploaded the matches I did well in (hey I gotta entertain the masses y'know?) I think I did ok with Goh's p+k to shut down a decent bit of abare punching and elbows. I tried to use 3p+k when we first began our set but it seemed like every time I tried it you just did standing p instead haha. My TE game definitely wasn't on tonight.

GGs Tony, any plans on attending GVN Winter Brawl in Philly?

Matches are on my youtube page in my sig.

Cool, I'll go check those out right now.
Hmmm, the GVN WB in PH? Not sure yet but the way that things are looking for me, I'm going to be too busy and tired to make it.
GGs again, you have gotten a lot stronger since the NYG.
There were times when I thought I was fighting LuckyGT /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif (compliment).

So with my stick broke. I got bored and fiddled around with new HD qualities on my videos. I'll pick a higher bitrate next time to see if it gets any better. Chose a pretty random one from a while back to test it with. What do you guys think?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZI8pcH1PlI

Just hit the "Watch in HD" button under the video.

Oh and the audio is just a tiny bit off. I'll have to fix that for the next one I try.

Looks good man, I didn't really notice the audio being off though.

EDIT: I notice the audio now must have been paying too much attention to the visual quality the first time, lol.

Here's my favorite example of HD in YouTube VF matches. This was put up by ZeroEx. Check this thread for reference.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I tried another one, got the audio spot on and the visual is a little better I think. At least thats as high as I think I'll put it.

I meant to write this a log time ago. You've gotten a lot better. I'm surprised you are not ranked higher in fact. It's awesome that you take the time to put these matches up. Props!

Thanks for sharing these matches, Joho. I have only one suggestion: try to number the fights. That way viewers can know if they've already watched a certain fight already instead of having to start the vid in order to verify.

The latest video has a better quality than my TV screen. Nice

You guys brought my thread back to life too soon! I have nothing new to provide and won't for a while. Amazon says my stick isn't shipping til early march now. Thanks for the comments though. I just hope I don't get too too rusty from my time off.

Well I'm pretty much back into VF full swing. I've also decided to start recording matches a different way. Instead of pausing the flow of games to save the replay of one match I just record the entire time I'm playing more or less. It'll give a more accurate depiction of how I play at least. A lot more mistakes and inconsistencies show up because of it.

I'm really really trying to get better for the WCG thing and SoCal. So if anyone has anything to say that could help me, please do!

First set of matches vs. Cozby playing various characters.

Set 1 (Goh)
Set 2 (Jacky)
Set 3 (Jacky)
Set 4 (Jacky)
Set 5 (Jacky)
Set 6 (Akira)
Set 7 (Akira)
Set 8 (Akira)

GGs Cozby. Hopefully I can start playing more of a variety of players soon. Nothing against you, I just don't have enough people from here on my friendslist and end up playing the same guys over and over. I know there is a lot more players out there that can help me level up.

In the very first vids that you posted Joho, the first two Ak's are B-Feck, the third one isnt me at all. Looks more like AYU Fanboy.

Bump. Look forward to watching these. I always like it when people post up matches. Even better if you can put names to them, so it tightens up our ranks. Thanks for taking the time (i know first hand it is a lot more work than it looks like). Appreciated.

Sorry bout that! Changed the title on youtube, and I can't seem to change my first post. Guess I got a little confused.

Wish I would've recorded our matches from a few weeks ago vs. your Wolf. I thought they were really good, I just didn't feel like changing the plugs in the middle of our matches /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Well it was hard to get over but I'm finally starting to have fun playing online again. I always go on a small hiatus after a good offline event, I just can't stand online afterwards [IMG]

Played Slide for a little while today and recorded a small portion of our set. It's in 7 parts. 3 of them are in HD but the other 4 aren't.

I was really focusing on my normal defense and sabaki defense in these matches. I'm kind of trying to breathe some new flow into my gameplay. I really did play without purpose a lot before but now I'm actively going to work on a part of my game in sets from now on. Thanks for the games Slide, your Sarah is scaaaary.

Joho FFS Sarah's [6] [P] [K] is -17 -18! don't just punish with p,k! [IMG] It's particularly frustrating to watch, especially after watching you do some good punishing like answering a blocked sweep with a basara! [IMG] Honestly though, both of you are playing crazy good, throw escapes, stepping, some jumping around [IMG] i've just watched all 7 vids! My only other suggestion is that maybe you should have tried to take advantage of the fact that Slide seems to hitcheck [2] [P] [+] [K] and go for the odd throw, it's stil -12 afterall.

Slide no comments for you, your playstyle is out of the conventional VF world i know [IMG]

PS: the 7th and last game is insane, why aren't you watching it yet? [IMG]

I recommend everyone watch the entire set.

Yo Johoseph those were very fun.

Hey I had this new combo, where it sets up some crazy wakeup mix if you don't lay down, but you laid down lol. I don't know if you recorded that match, but I'm still watching I'll find out.

Haha look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3wsrCbw_po#t=3m13s
