You guys both think you can go around and make generalized statements, and then have a complete lack of reading comprehension, and expect someone to not call you an idiot?

    "YAWN" to that shit.

I agree core gameplay comes first cause without that none of the extras would mean that much.

KOF12 is really bare bones though and there are glitches/issues that need fixing. Online aside I would at least like to get a feel for the game in single player mode but the practice mode is lacking and the AI is probably the worst I've ever seen. I'm struggling to practice or learn anything. You really do need offline competition or access to a KOF12 arcade with players to get the best out of this until it gets patched/upgraded (we're lucky to have both in London). That review Matt put up actually summed things up pretty well.

But why are some people saying Tekken 6 is just gonna take over for them even if KOF12 is fixed up and improved by then? Shouldn't it come down to the gameplay rather than what's the newest big game? The online in Tekken 6 might be really bad anyway considering Namco's previous efforts with T5DR and SC4.

No clue what I said but sorry if my lame opinions bother you.

That's the price they had to pay to keep it 2d and redraw and reanimate everything I suppose as it seems to take an enormous amount of time and effort using the methods they did for this. Compared to Blazblue it has nearly twice the characters, higher quality animation and full 2d backgrounds.

It is disappointing to see all the cutbacks but what else were they supposed to do if they wanted to move the series to the next gen? They already have a 3d KOF which has 3d elements and I doubt they could have afforded to keep this game in development any longer. Hopefully this gets upgraded a lot and the next sequel is a good package from the start now that they've gotten most of the hard work done.

Don't tell me You think that's all they could do.
FFS, there's Street Fighter 4, even Guilty Gear XX and older games where characters look better, have more fluid animations and are basically better looking (sorry, but for me, how characters move also qualifies as "looks").

You think just b/c they had to redraw everything to HD it's suddenly so time consuming, they just couldn't work on it a bit more? Fuck it I say.
I don't want to troll the thread, but that's my opinion.
If the game came out for no more than 20$ I'd consider buying it... otherwise it's an unfinished game completely NOT WORTH the price it has.

I'm going back to playing KOF 2000.

    $20?!

That's like £11, no way would a game ever come out at retail at that kind of price. £30 is the lowest you can expect here.

I still don't see why no dojo mode and online automatically means the game is only worth 50 pence but I haven't played the game yet, not out here till the end of the month.

Seems to me everyone just expects every game to have tons of cash pumped into them, like every game is supposed to be a triple A title and if it's not then it's not worth touching.

kof12's sprites are poverty. ggac which came out in 2006 looks better, as does vanguard princess which was made by ONE PERSON.

and comparing them to bb's sprites? lmao.

plus kof12 is just plain ass boring. nothing really new or exciting about it, just another unfinished kof title that everyone will drop for 98um in a couple weeks.

snk needs to make a new ngbc and make it the best game they've ever made imo. that or patch the shit out of this mess and make it fun so you can at least look past the horrible sprites.
