KOF XII

    My team is Goro, Shen Woo and Iori right now... Goro is my starter and I rotate the other two however I'm feeling in that match.

    I have had luck starting Shen Woo > Goro > Iori... I still can't figure out which order is better. How do you guys determine your order???

    Think of your last dude as the real character. It's your last guy vs your opponents last guy.

    I play kof (98) and I know some hardcore kof players. They are all in agreement that kof12 is a POS! They've played it in the arcades. I've already saw some stupid things to put me off the game, the game is also incredibly slow. They sacrificed EVERYTHING for GRAPHICS!

    Waiting for kof02um to be released on xbla (which is announced!)

    I'd rather get BlazBlue with no knowledge of GG games or get T6:BR with scrubtastic skills in Tekken over getting Piece of Shit 12.

    Alot of people that hate on kof12 probably fucking suck at kof in general, and probably think they're hardcore kof players.

    2002 is the best kof game by far imo, and completely shits on kof12, but that's besides the point.

    kof12 is a fine game, that eliminates alot of the bullshit and gimmicks alot of the other games before it, had. It's completely stripped down. Alot of these guys are idiots that are crying that characters like Mai ain't in the game and there's no storyline.

    People need to stop fuckin cryin, and just wait and see what comes out of the game. Who knows what way this game will turn.

    The way I see it, if someone doesn't like kof12, but enjoys the other ones, it just goes to show they didnt even really give a shit about kof's core, because that's all kof12 is anyway.

    p.s. all of this really doesn't matter when T6BR comes out anyway, hahaaa.

    Hey Slide, when is the official release date for Tekken 6 for console???

    Also, does anyone know what the netcode will be??? It has to be good. If it's not I'll be SO depressed. Online FGs are my new addiction. The netcode has to be good or I will cry.

    Oct 27 in the US. No word yet on Europe IIRC.

    Apparently, Castel and MarkMan (the two who run TZ and sdtek, and helping with the US promotional "tour") have been making it very clear to Namco that nothing else matters except netcode.

    Harada (Tekken's producer) said that they rewrote the netcode from scratch, and cited DRO as their first time at doing netcode, and SC as their second. Hopefully they poach a few ideas from the guys at Arc (BB).

    I play all of them don't mean i am hardcore just its a decent all round technical game series where u have to learn a shitload of characters instead of some bullshit SF games were most people just sit there trying to do 1 on 1 via character match ups.




    To answer this question find out in 7-11 years if its still played cos 98 is still rinsed hard to this day and so is 2002. If KOF12 can do that then i'll say its game but at the moment its very unsure with the way it is atm.

    On topic:

    I'm probably going to pick up KOFXII if they fix the netcode. I couldn't care less about a storyline, but if the game is all about the gameplay, then the netcode needs to be top notch.

    It's not going to be imo, because the game is plain when you compare it to the other entries in the series. Most of the notable advances were removed, like Tagging, and Strikers. They went back to pure form.

    The funny thing is that kof fundamentals is heavily emphasized in this game(because there's not much other than that), but in the other ones you could get away with lack of that if you had insane tricks and damaging combos. You could just play the odds on a huge combo that starts from something fast and safe.

    For those who haven't seen it yet. =)

    I thought about adding a combo transcript showing just what I did. Also, I've been working on extending that Benimaru combo. I have another one that does well over 600 pts of damage.

    I've been told by someone who is currently testing the upcoming patch and said they were very confident I would be happy with the final product.

    He said it's only been in testing since Wednesday and HAS to be approved by both Sony and MS before they can put it up. There's some kind of holiday next week in Japan and he told me they convinced SNK to work through the holiday to get the patch out.

    He said it's HUGE (he wrote it in capitals) improvement and said it's on par with SF4...




    Maybe they will be able to right this disaster a little bit. Makes me feel alright. SF4 quality is good enough for me to be happy. Now just cross your fingers it doesn't take 2 more weeks...

    Great combos man, though I got to say landing a CC in the first place is difficult(to actually start one), let alone in the corner. Also, Shen Woo has a finisher to his qcf P which is the qcf K uppercut, it's like a 1 frame link. Also, I think Leona's CC in the corner 5 moon slashers, does more than 4 moon slashers - vslasher.

    Oh, I know Shen Woo has longer combos. I just can't do his just frame attacks. His largest combo that I've seen does 745 pts of damage.

    Actually, 5 moon slashers (3 weaks ones, 2 strong ones) only does 609 damage. My combos of 4 moon slashers (4 weak ones) into V slasher does 653 pts of damage and (3 weak ones, 1 strong one) into V slasher does 675 pts of damage.

    The damage seems to vary I think, I get 632 off of 5 moon slashers, either way I stand corrected.

    Also though, I'd rather not use her meter in CC anyway, she's a bit more threatening when she sits on the meter.

    If you wait too late when you do it, it will scale down big time. Like after the second one, it should already be over 300 pts total. If you wait until they almost hit the ground when they do it, after the second hit, the damage will say 255.

    So far, I'm really liking Mature and Leona(My boo)I'm searching for a third one. I'm leaning towards the pimp AKA Iroi, My homie Kim, That dude, SIE KENSOU! Or stay loyal to Clark. Fuck it, I'm going with Kim. BTW, Black, why didn't you include her mid range CC. CC HP-HP-Light Moon Slash-6+HP>6+LK>6+LK>V-Slash. There's alot of options after the first 6+LK. I'm still trying to get the Combo down pack(7/10)and it works anywhere in the screen. Love the vid BTW.
