Yes. BB has a very good thought out system in place.

I'm usually at CTF on Wednesdays or Saturdays from noon to whenever work starts. And I'm usually dressed in a suit and tie or at least a suit...

Anyways everything about the BB console release is superior to the KOFXII release so far from what's coming in the package. BB has a DVD tutorial coming with it that looks to be on par with how well VF4EVO taught people the game.

Don't think it's possible to say yet. KoF hasn't been out long enough or played enough to even establish vague tiers yet. And BB is getting an update this winter, so we won't know for quite some time haha.

I went to CTF two days ago to test out the new KOF and no one was playing it. Just like Shinobifist said they use the chairs that supposed to be for KOF to spectate BlazBlue

Yo fuck it then, I might just sit ALL of this out till T6BR.

That's pretty disappointing. Goes to show that BlazBlue's rank on Arcadia, and XII's lack of, really does mean something.

When has a KoF ever ranked high on arcadia though? lol

BB has the GG crowed to boost it up, KoF has no scene in the US, a minimal one in Japan.

Oh well, time will tell if even I enjoy it, but currently, I think it's going to end my favorite 2D figthter of this year.

Talking about the guard attack thing? If so, how is it bullshit?

It's all about that T6BR. I'll probably get KOF and BB though to make the wait a little more bearable.

I just watched those videos. Those custom combos remind me of CVS2 to be honest. But yeah that guy spamming it? Spammable CC's? Thats dangerous man

Yeah unlike T6 right? at least you need a full bar and they are not Dial-a-combo.

Just one thing though, it's pointless to talk about BB in a KOF anticipation thread, if you are not into the style of AS characters BB does nothing really to change your mind. The best designs AS made are for HNK and Basara, that's becuase they didnt have to come up with them lol.

I own all of the GG's and after I buy them I just feel stupid because they are always the same awful character design. At least SNK knows how to draw cool designs.

All of this IMO of course.

I was responding to someone who ask which game has a solid engine(BB or KOF)I'm not trying to derail a KOF thread. And we all know SNK makes the best character designs in the biz. And to Krsjin(About the Guard Attack)Is very easy to abuse, and there's really no risk factor to it. Is not like the "Alpha Counters" were you risk a bar, or like SFIV were you have "Armour Breaking" attacks.

And plus, the regular throws don't do that much damage. So spamming "Guard Attacks" is going to be the norm in this game, same with CC attacks. I'm already seeing it in CF by the people who already are the doing advance shit in this game. I drop close to 70$ already on this game. And from what I gather and observe, this game rewards the player to much, and there's really no risk factor for your options if you fail. Obviously I have to give it more time, but I'm not liking what I'm seeing.

LOL is this what you mean by "not derailing the thread"?

But yes, I also want KOF12 to be my chillout game, the main one being VF of course.

    Oh the bitterness...

Seriously though, Tekken's "dial-a-combo" isn't any easier (or difficult) than Akira's CH /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, double palm juggle. And in BR, the damage is pretty much the same as what Mr.Yuki can do. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

But that's the thing - I'm not minding KOF XII's combos... but if the new system features lean towards benefiting only a small percentage of the cast, then it's going to be hard to chill out on a game that will piss you off because of the broken balance.

But if the system makes EVERYONE broke. Well then... it's going to be great fun laying down those Terry combos on a few hundred scrubs. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I have to agree with the character designs though: SNK really makes the best ones.

KOF12 seems to get played a lot more than Blazblue in our arcade though and I doubt Arcadia's latest ranking even included KOF12 due to it being so new.

I do much prefer the look, flow and animation of KOF12 myself compared to BB which looks strange and floaty but BB has really interesting unique playstyles for each character. I'm looking to get into both especially as VF series could be finished outside of Japan now. I really don't like the direction Tekken has been heading in but I'll be trying to get back into that too.

why do you think the VF series is finished outside of japan? It seems to be just as popular as it has been for the past 7 years. Not going up or down, just a stable mediocre excitement.

To stay on topic. If everyone is "broke" then they're all fixed you just end up with a game that plans like MvC2 but with balanced characters. I'm quite alright with that. The way to balance a cast isn't to gimp people but make everyone just that much more badass.

@Shinobifist - The game is still slow sorry. I am a KOF Diehard and the overall speed is slow. If people can abuse guard attack without paying for parlay it into CC hen thats bullshit. That video you posted shows nice combo's i only though possible in Mugen. Once again the damage scalig need work because i know i can pull off those combo with ease.

@ KRSJin - I animates pretty good but it still seems s bit slow compared to 98. Once against to "User fiendly out" the game throwing and CC has become a focal point of offense.
Every video i seen so far Its the same combo's until you get a CC then becomes Its a little advanced pullin off CC combos.

You're right, I asked MarkMan on his latest Arcadia topic @ SRK and he said those ranks were made prior KOFXII's release.

2002 had confirmable CCs, and it was still my favorite kof. Even still, counter CDs into CCs? That is kind of vicious, unless they have the technique that was available in 2002 where you could cancel your own moves into a roll to bait that.
