Well, i think ill plan one after this quarter is over. I got two friends looking to play. One is willing one is skeptical, both former tekken player. Right now they're too intimidated by the arcade players. Their mentality why use money when its a guarenteed lost.

So i want them to play in some ver c meet where its at no financial loss for them and a good learning experience to the game.

 

Tomorrow night

So far for tomorrow night (11-27-2) at AI, it looks like Brisal73 and I are planning to show.
I should be there around 8:00.

Anyone else plan to arrive?

really mini meet tonight, Just me plague and brisal, but good fun. Everyone broke even and everyone had their 5 game win streaks. Brisal broke an early 7-8 streak, but i put an end to that /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

Nice thing to see is that someone whom we dont know used aoi with little experience decided to play about 3-4 matches with us.

I got some nice anti techroll leifei combos in, something i practiced really quick before the meet. It was the only practice i got in 3 days for any VF play. fortuneately it came very handy, Damn finals weeks /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif

Brisal busted out some nice massive hit gut punch ground throw combos with wolf that brought in 75% of your life. Plague started nitpicking apart my game. Always kept me on my toes of creativity. Even used a couple of moves that i never used before.

Well being up since 3 AM today, im amazed im still awake. Must be the VF EVO adrenaline !!

Hope to see more of ya at the next meet, and hopefully a PS2 meet soon, so i can get my friends in on this action. or as blondone would say it hotness /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

 

Reflections from tonight

Alex is generous to say we all broke even. I had a couple of 4 win streaks, other than that I lost all over the place. I think I'm down to about 37% ratio /versus/images/icons/crazy.gif

Fantastic back stagger action, Alex... effective and flashy, too.

Undaunted, I continue to practice... maybe someday I'll combo with more than +,

mike and I are planning on going to AI on Sat. (11/30), so if anyone wants to go, we'll be there probably in the late afternoon (5p or so)..

Catherine and I will be there between 6:30 - 8:00.

Good showing last night. Catherine had to stay home and work but I met up with Mike and Dave around 6:30. Brian showed around 8:00 and I heard that Bryan had been around earlier.

Brian, Mike and I moved up to 1st dan. Dave might have done that after Brian and I left around 10:00 pm.

Mike was certainly the force to be reckoned with.

couldnt make it to the last meet, fell short on money buying more parts for my joystick, hopefully i can save a few more bucks for the next one.

sooo whens our next "big" meet? everyones scheds seem to be out of sync. and spotlite cant do saturdays, and other people cant seem to do weekdays. . .

well I'm back from thanksgiving and keen for another meet! Thursday night is good for me...!?!

Oh and BTW two of the three workmates I took to AI to try Evo last week have bought PS2 VF4 and are in training! The circle expands... =]
