Thanx for the info, Brisal73. It turns out that Arcade-Infinity is not that close from my house (about 45 min.), but from what I've heard, it's such a good arcade that I should definitely check it out. I plan on going there sometime next week.

JAG: I recommend finding someone in our group that is close to where you live... We have Riverside, San Diego, Hollywood, Sata Monica and me(I live 5 min. away from AI). Mike and Vf Akira come up all the time from San Diego...thats over and hour drive

carpooling is the way to go, plenty of people up from the LA side come down here about once a week, mike and dave come from sandiego about once a week.

So post specifically where your from and maybe one of our local VF'ers can pick ya up.

Brian and I played some great games last night. He had the better of me most of the time, but the fights were almost always decided in the 5th round. I finally came out of my losing streak when he verbalized that I was becoming too predictable (+, +, +, .....) I actually vowed to not use that move at all in the last few games - not that I could keep that vow since + has been burned into my brain for years. But, I think I was able to at least cut down the number that I threw out. I also found some amazing new moves like and - a revelation, no doubt: "Dude, Akira's elbows are cool!" /versus/images/icons/crazy.gif /versus/images/icons/confused.gif

It would be great if we could all meet on Thursday night at AI.

Thank you to Alex, Brian, Bryan, and Mike for a cool get together last night. Catherine said last night's evo session was her favorite. I felt like I stumbled over the controls a little less this time (even thought they work great, I always feel like I'm stirring soup when I compare to the ASCII stick I have at home). But, all in all, I think I had more Evo fun than ever myself.

Kudos to Spotlite for great style [MC SDE into SGPM->DE, and PIT RBC (blocked), BT BC] and vicious Goh (13 win streak).

Brisal73 made it clear that I escape Giant Swings too often by smashing me with every other throw in the book.

Mike92123's wolf is quite different from Brisal73's, so I lasted 10 seconds or less for three rounds in a row (ow).

Alex decided that I should lose to his Lei-Fei AND Jeffery.

Thank you to AI management for taking care of an argumentative card reader and failing button as soon asked they were asked. Sound update... the right side machine will have sound once the "special wire" comes in. I imagine it's got some proprietary connectors so it might be difficult to fabricate.

I turned up later, which I hope made for an even nicer showing!

Had some very enjoyable fights. Got totally slapped around by Mike with his annoying Lion sabaki f+K,K combo =] Grr...

Was good to see some new faces (to me at least) jumping in. That guy in the yellow t-shirt had a pretty good Aoi...

To top off the night Amy and I had awesome food in the Life Plaza before tackling the drive back. Green pepper fried rice and coffee boba... mmm....
