Let's plan a VFDC trip to Japan for 2009?

I have a few white gi, and getting another one pretty soon...gunna cost me about 185 bucks tho :x. There are a few gyms I want to check out. Grabaka, Zz, and Crazy Bee.

 

Just following up. We got anyone who is 100%, without question, going? If so, let's keep a list of confirmations and get this momentum built up. Lock in plans and what not.

I'll go, I have over 60 days of leave saved up. Furthermore, its really easy to take a hop to yokota apparently, so, basically i get a free trip to tokyo too.
That is where you guys are going right? Tokyo?

Yeah I also got the VF5 bug from Japan. Where else but Club Sega Akihabara! ( And I almost didn't go! where would I be? ) I can't afford VF5 and X360, so VF4:E it is until.

I can't go back to Japan, not in 2009, whether it comes from my money or yours, that's my last year of study, I would rather concentrate on that than getting whooped by Itazan, Chibita, or whoever a quarter of the way around the world like you. Just don't forget the oil price.

I do translate Japanese, just not that good as others. Is there a city set for the trip?

Well, Tokyo Disneyland is a good themepark, great rides, a bit expensive I think, but has a retro arcade (But no VF of any type). I'm sure there are better ones.

In Hiroshima, the Peace Park is really moving once you discover everything, the museum, Sadako, Atomic Dome. I can't put it in words.

 

i might be going to japan summer of 09 for a bit with a friend in naegi.

of course, i'd rather not ride a bullet train to tokyo for three hours just to play some motherfuckin vf, but that's pretty much what i do to get to the norcal gatherings anyways so i actually probably wouldn't mind.

 

Ok Updated Information:
Date: looks to be April 23rd to April 30th
Cheapest Airfare that I have seen was for $800
I need to know if your interested ASAP to get concrete airfare and hotel information for those dates.
You can depart from any airport that you like, but we should try and get rooms in the same area. Expect to spend at least 2k for the trip.

Got a KICK ass price of $750 on Signapore Air
Hotels look to be $115 a night divided by 3 friends brings total to $38 a night for 10 days.
Which brings total for hotel and flight to $1130

If people plan on going let me know. Or if you are going to be in Japan hit me up. VFR, Dinner, Drinks, sounds like a fun vacation.

Trip isn't all about VF this time so I'm looking to do new things.

Something that just came to mind... Tougeki 09 is in August, wouldn't it be better to come during that month?

 

Like stated previously VF isn't the only reason I'm going. I have a friend or friends going with me who are not into VF or gaming for that matter.

So unlike last time where SBO was taking place, Im going to explore more of the city, countrysides, temples, bars,clubs etc.

That being said I would still like to go with or meet
some VF'ers while I am there so I can get in some games.

Please keep in mind that if you are a VFDC member and are interested in going you can still get in on the air flight deal and cheap hotel with me. Doing separate things during the trip won't be an issue.
