@Mister, since @Shang the Yellow Leader is still in retirement, I would like to play your Top Tier WO OK. Besides I am a McLaren Fan & I think Ferrari is a bit overrated anyways. Look, I'm even worst offline, just ask your fellow Italian patriot @G0d3L. He was getting bored playing me, when he'd visited NYC.

F it I'll join in the CJ of Smurf. Note that I'm pretty sure that @kungfusmurf and I have diametrically opposed philosophies for approaching the game. Smurf, you've always struck me as a strong player disguised behind the veneer of fighting against the system mechanics of FS and just needing practice in the madness of FS. I agree with what has already been said in that most advice would change your effective style that feels random but clearly isn't. My strat against your style has always been playing safe, wait for a big move to come out and just punish it. I guess more GB usage is the biggest thing I can offer for you because I'm not afraid of it when playing you vs like modern-day rod. But generally, you'll probably figure it out using your own method by just playing more. I hate giving that generic feedback but it's the best I got to give your philosophical approach to the game.

Nelly pretty much sums up everything I wanted to say without making you feel like your style might be flawed or needs to be changed. Despite how rough around the edges I think your style is, what makes it so bad ass is you land things that, in my opinion, ABSOLUTELY should not work. And like Nelly said, there is also this layer, a really thick layer of unpredictability. You have no idea how many times I have conversed with Nelly, Denkai, Adam and many others about how much I would love to have your " randomness " factor. I know it's not entirely random, but it's really the only word that can describe the things that you seem to miraculously pull off.

So, what can you do to get better? The only things I can think of is you need to sometimes recognize when ' smurf style ' is NOT working and maybe resort to traditional VF play. Something, I know you are not a fan of. Guard when you are supposed to, fuzzy when you are supposed to, throw when you are supposed to, etc, etc. And most importantly, you need to do more damaging combos. Besides Adam , I can't say I know of any other player who always seems to unexpectedly launch his opponent so easily. However, the major difference between you and Adam is he will 99% of the time do the maximum damage possible from the launcher he landed. You seriously struggle at converting launches to maximum damage. If I had to put a percentage on it, I'd say you are in the vicinity of less than 50%.(n)

Change this about your game and I dare say you could easily be dubbed the best Akira in North America. Seriously, I'm not kidding! I'm good, but I severely struggle at opening people up, something that seems to come naturally to you with little to no effort.

So, Adam/Lazy Flow Chart is 1% away from his full potential, OK got it.

Look here NumbNutz, we all know you're the best AK outside of JP OK. Besides, I can barely win a game against @BlackGeneral & EncoreEmperor ok. (n)

Appreciate the nod, but I don't consider myself the best Akira. There is still too many thing I do wrong like not being able to punish sweeps? LOL! Seriously, I am the only one who blocks them and then do low punch as the best punisher.... WTF!!!!

Anyway, if you are having a hard time again BG and Encore, it's like I said, you need to know when to abandon ' Smurf Style ' and play a more traditional game of VF. At least until you figure out what it is about their styles that's giving you such a hard time.

In closing, one thing to keep in mind and this is just something I personally believe and that is that certain styles of play just simply clash. What I mean is, let's say I am the best Akira player and I can easily beat you 10 out of 10 without really trying. However, when I play against @HotSauceNelly , he always beats me 10 out of 10, yet for reasons unknown he can barely beat you, who loses to everyone, 4 out of 10 no matter how many times he challenges you. If I am the best, Nelly shouldn't be struggling so badly against someone who is clearly inferior to me. But, why is that? Why are you the Kryptonite to his awesome play? I personally think, it's just a natural conflict of styles if you were to review and analyze the matches in slow motion. Right @Tricky ????? Jokes aside, while this is my personal believe, I also believe these kinds of conflict can be overcome, however I think it usually means the player losing usually has to change something very drastic about themselves or how they approach the game.

Stop dreaming about Adam when you block a low sweep, OK! You need to separate your Bromance & "Uh this is really going to hurt" moment.

That's not it, these two currently are still mostly tech & doesn't require much thinking so I tend to fall asleep. So, in comparison to Himi & CrazyDrunk, who both have moved on from just tech & are developing their mental game & toughness, NICE!

That next level for some & that final level for few of us requires a lot more work than we're willing to gave to achieving it.

Its definitely the various player's playstyles. I struggle against all three but to different degrees. :D

Rodney's akira. He will repeat a move like gb on me until i adjust and always punish accurately. Its almost surgical. Strong fundamentals.

Black General 's akira playstyle I saw a much more fast paced, moral style.

Smurf we played recently about a week ago. What you did that surprised me most was you snuffing out my attempts to condition you with your abare style/random factor. When I thought or expect you to guard I saw an atk instead :D

I didnt see you try to punish lei when i threw out atks that left me at -15.

You could always get one of those Brook Converters. They ask for bout $40 - $45 but it's better than dropping $100+ on a new stick. I got one a while back so I can use my 360 stick on the PS4. Works like a champ. You just have to download some firmware (or whatever the shitz is called) onto the usb stick/converter. Competitive players use em in tournaments, so input lag isn't a problem with em.

With the new systems around the corner, might be too late for something like that, though. Still something to keep an eye out for when the new fighting games drops for whatever new system you get. I hope they make em (360 to PS5 etc.). I don't want to buy a new stick, lol.
