I was thinking about a little gather when he gets back, Evo, T5 whatever people want to play.

Think he should've been back by now. I've given him a txt anyway just to see how he is doing. Tuesdays are no good for me at the moment, got lectures 9-6 most weeks.

Yeah, I've been pretty happy with it. Depends what you're going to be using it for. Suited me as I've been using it as a jack-all-trades all in one monitor. The VGA output is really quality which is what my monitor is outputting 90% of the time. Got all the inputs that you'll ever need including HDMI and component. I've only witness tearing on my Xbox watching DVDs in XBMC at 720p. You've probably read lots about if you manage to find out that I have one. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

If you're using DVI at the moment you might have to downgrade to VGA as its not quite compatible through the HDMI. (I'm saving that for the PS3 or 360) Standard interlaced stuff also don't look as good as old CRTs, so old consoles would actually look worse on the screen. I was a bit disappointed with RGB even but things are better with component now. No LCD birghtness adjust button as well, which can be a problem if your room is pitch black all the time. I always have a lit room so not a problem for me. It looks like I've only got bad things to say about it but I'm just nit picking really. Good price for a future proof TV so I'm not complaining.

My one doesn't have freeview on it so I don't know if it'll be the same firmware.

yeah i went for non freeview, i dont even have an ariel in this room. It would be nice if i already had the right firmware though.. It's supposed to be with me monday, tuesday at the latest.

Know a good place to get compnent cables? I'm thinking about softmodding my xbox.

Had to get my one from Playasia as I heard the Game branded ones aren't that good. I've got all the gears for a softmod if you want a lend of them. Basically just need the right game to execute the save file.

Unlikely, it's just going to be computer room tv. I'll probably just keep setting the ps2 up in the living room for gatherings. I'm hoping to get something a tad bigger for the living room if I have the money this time next year.

Really just buying it for the 360, but the way the launch line up is going I don't know if I'm going to need it this year.
