I'd like to see Wing Chun, as it's a style i've practiced in myself, but can't see AM2 getting it to work in VF. Sticking hands? how would they do that? I guess i'll settle for the few Wing Chun moves Jacky has...*Sigh*

I think it'll work, being that it specialises in close-distance combat.

Why not Chun Kuk Do, Chuck Norris' style? Or does Sarah already have it, but Sega decided to just name it "Martial Arts" or the CEO got a roundhouse kick.

Vanessa "has" Krav Maga, but it might offend Palestine.

I would like to see Wu Shu in the game. Whoever has that would probably be the most powerful person in the game......... so they say........

Forget all that! VF needs a joke character like SF's Dan, Tekken's Kuma and KOF's Ash Crimson (lol).

Kuma is far from a joke character (I've fought many of them in TTT-T5DR), as he has high damaging combos and setups to back up... Ash can combo you straight to the corner with special throw to his projectile super, dash and finish his opponent off with his flash kick super... Shingo would be the joke character for SNK and even he is pretty damaging (dubbed "Critical Shingo" by a bunch of people because of his strength in '98). Gon would be the only "joke" character from Tekken imo, and he's not even property of Namco. VF has Brad as a joke character, but he's no joke when it comes to damage. Jeffry could be considered one (have you seen the special intros in VF5R???)...

Dan is a joke character, but in CVS2, he had so many knee/throw setups; and in SVC:Chaos, well, every move he did was way stronger than the capcom version. SF4, yeah, he's been picked up as a main by alot of ppl... So many combos, and he has a run instead of a dash...

    Gon is property of Bandai.

    Which merged with Namco.

    Ergo...

A lot of Wing Chun styles won't use high kicks and are very direct. So all linear attacks? Could be.
Jumping attacks? Spinning attacks? Not in my own experience. The character would also have to have Jacky's Inashi (it's a Wing Chun move) and there would be a case for other similar moves. Sounds broken already. LoL

It would need Sega to speak to someone with good knowledge of both Wing Chun and VF. Would be fun to see, but i wouldn't have high hopes.

Wing Chun like every other martial art isn't rigid. Liberties can be taken as long as its base style is distinctive.

What I don't get is whenever someone suggests a style like TKD, people say "It's too close to Karate" or Krav Maga "Vanessa does that". But then they go on to suggest another four or five Chinese Martial Arts. In a game that has eight already. I think any CMA could be adapted to one of the characters already in the game.

    Akira: Piqua (traditionally mixed anyways)
    Jacky: Wing Chun
    Pai: Bagua
Lau: Any of the five animal styles.

And the list goes on. Virtua Fighter has more than enough Chinese and Japanese (now that they've added Karate) styles in the game.

I honestly have no problem with there being more Japanese and chinese martial arts styles in the game

Here's the list what I hope to see in the future Virtua Fighter game, it's also includes some opinion about some martial arts to eah character.

Akira: Japanese mixed Chinese Kung Fu
    Pai: Crane stance and Wushu
Lau: Fanzi Eagle's claw and Tiger Fist ( I think he'll no longer in he series)
    Jeffry: Mixed Matial Art Wresling
Jacky: Jeet Kun Do such as ( One Inch Punch, Hook Kick, Burning side Kick and a few intercepting counter Win Chun)
Kage: Hagekure Ninja Arts and Neck choke
Shun: Drunken Fist and Drunken Wuxing Fist
Lion: Wu Tang and Shaolin Mantis
Vanessa: Army combat and Martial arts of defence
Lei Fei: Shaolin Kung Fu such as( Iron head, Budha palm)
Brad: Mixed Muay Thai and Kickboxing styles
Eileen: Drunken Monkey and Monkey Fist Combination Combo

Submit any other suggestion you think suitable for the above characters. And there will be 2 more new characters to be added into the game in the future Virtua Fighter Game.

What Virtua Fighter Needs is a Cliche British fighter, (or just some greasy haired 'steve-fox' like character from a country that hasn't been used yet)

He needs to do 'drunken town-centre punch up on a Friday night style' you know flailing arms, losing shoes, screaming girlfriends on the sidelines etc.

Or a Dudley like classic boxer character from the 1900's..

If Virtua Fighter made a British boxer, one along the lines of Prince Naseem Hamed would be killer, especially if he had some move from Hajime No Ippo thrown in.

Bartitsu is an eclectic martial art and self-defense method originally developed in England during the years 1898–1902. In 1901 it was immortalised (as "baritsu") by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of the Sherlock Holmes mystery stories.
