VF realy needs to Sambo (COMBAT SAMBO):
    http://dic.academic.ru/dic.nsf/enwiki/589017
And of course the character must to be Russian (like Ocelot (MGS3) or Fedor Yemelianenko [approved by Putin /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif ] for example)!
He must be like Goh in gameplay settings, but whith more down-throw game (combo throw , and others).

I don't remember any Okinawan styles being in any fighting games. Maybe we will see a character practicing Shorin-ryu or Isshin-ryu in a game someday.

    There is.

    It's called Karate. :p

I thought that the representation of Karate has been pretty generic though. Jean's style I think is just called Karate, but I don't know of any defining characteristics he shows of practicing a certain style.

From what I've seen, most styles of Karate in fighting games (if not made up for the particular fighting game, e.g. Tekken) are either Kyokushin or Goju-ryu, e.g. Hitomi from DOA and post-TTT Jin both incorporate Kyokushin and Goju-ryu moves (although Jin's looks more like the latter than the former).

I am aware that Namco used a well-respected Kyokushin practitioner from motion capture for the Tekken series. I'm not sure about DOA, though.

Oh yeah. Tekken 4 Jin looked like he was performing a form of Seisan kata in the intro. Goju-ryu is Okinawan if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Goju-ryu is Okinawan as well, as one of my old friends does it and would never stop talking about it at school.

He also was so excited when they were going to Okinawa, so I'd hazard a guess at that.

I practiced Shotokan for 4 years. One of the katas he did was Heian Yondan if I remember correctly.
The other one is Yantsu .
I agree that he represents Kyokushin the most though.

It says Jean practices Savate, but yeah, I'm calling it karate.

Excellent ideas of adding Sambo martial arts! I think SEGA should add Sambo which includes Chinese Shuaijiao, Japanese judo and traditional folk styles of wrestling such as Armenian Koch, Georgian Chidaoba, Moldovan Trîntǎ, Uzbek Kurash, Mongolian Khapsagay and Azerbaijani Gulesh. The character must be a Russian Sambo Expert. The story must be related to the friend of Vanessa's father.

In my opinion your all have a great idea. I think it's good to have Siba as playable character or boss as a bonus stage. There's no doubt that Vanessa is from United Kingdom, I don't know what do you think?

I was reading some parts of Sherlock Holmes a while ago, and I think this fighting style looks suitable for a new fighter.[/size]

    LOL!

    Curleh Mustache!! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

The new fighter (if any) needs to look like that, would be Perfect.

Edit: He needs to be called Sir Cosmo Duff Gordon, which crazily enough was a member of the original Bartitsu club /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I too want to see a fully american style boxer with no punches. Brad's kicks are part of his game, you're going to end up losing if you never decide to use his kicks. That's like gimping yourself.

Wouldn't that just be a white version of Dudley?
