I agree. I wouldn't like to see Shingo in it though as he's just a Kyo clone with an irritating dragon kick and command throw. I'd like to see Vanessa instead of Heavy D though I think she would suit the game alot better.

I even liked the idea of MvC3 when I saw this thread title but then I read about you saying it would have elements of SF4 and I lost interest completely. Capcom are really milking the shit out of SF4 because of how many copies it has sold, seriously though leave SF and Marvel as 2 different games. I can't even imagine the hideousy which would be Marvel with focus attacks...

As long as MVC3 makes some of the old characters actually playable I'd be happy as hell. I'm not even even a low tier whore but I used to pimp me some Sabretooth in XvSF but in MvC2 he was next to worthless.

Have you played Kof98/UM??? Shingo was dubbed the "Critical Kid" because most of his specials and normals did more damage than Kyo... He was a stronger character slightly in Kof2k3 as well (to some degree that's debatable)... He had 3-5 hit combos that did Ralf combo damage...

How would Vanessa be a better fit than Heavy D!? He's literally the SNK version of Capcom's Boxer... It's like Raiden vs Gief... I mean would you rather have Hinako vs Gief??? Come to think of it, that would be dope... Or Hinako vs R. Mika!!!

You know what I just hope the game is as fun as the last one. I don't care if it's broken, just as long as it gets hella fast and furious competition. MvC2 without a doubt saw the most action before SF4 in the past decade.

    Easy.

More interesting play style for a start off, not just looking for jC/cB into super combo.

Forwards and backwards command dashes which would suit the flow of the game, and anti-fireball moves which would come in handy as I bet CvS3 would address the issue of Roll Cancels (seeings as they made CvS2:EO this is how I'm basing that on)

Seriously though Vanessa > Heavy D! for sure in a CvS game imo.

Shingo was okay in KOF98 but he didn't really utilise low B combos anywhere near as much as Kyo could. He did get "Critical Hit" properties but for sure but for me Kyo was a far superior character in 98 and seeings as the majority of the top heads in 98 used O.Yash/Yash/Iori/O.Chris/Chris/Goro/Kyo exclusively Shingo is pretty much pointless.

Heavy D! had more than a jC/cB combo... He had a bunch of crouching to standing links and standing A to f+B to special or super... Plus his backdash gave just enough spacing to bait... His pseudo projectile move fought was his anti projectile, plus it could be used as in a blocked string for mixup/spacing games... Plus he had a command throw... Only thing Vanessa had going for her was that infinite in Kof '03... D!'s ducking combinations also went through fireballs, and he had that shadow move which powered his D attacks and specials...

Granted, but I still think Vanessa is more of a force with her tools in a CvS game. 1 thing I will say about Heavy D! is that his jB crossup in '98 was pretty damn ambiguous.

Also, cBx7, cA into super was some serious shiz gotta give him that! [IMG]

An excellent analysis of MvC3 based on video footage by Striderzer0. He looks at a few things from the E3 game play videos and compares his observations of MvC3 to both TvC and MvC2. I found this video far more interesting than the game play trailers being released.

Yeah man good find on this video. This really has made me hype for the game. I really like what they've done to the fighting engine. Basically capcom is responding to Blazblue with this game. TvC was their test baby, now they're ready to go full steam with MvC franchise.
