I get what your saying.. Is'nt it funny to see how The Worstplayer Is striving so hard to learn Modok which would take less that a day in this game but has trouble applyin the same effort to VF to improve his Shun and Jeff lmao!! I mean with all due respect TWP this is not a knock but with a lot of folks. They act as if Learning VF was like studying Astro physics and learning MVC3 is recess lol!! They been working their brains for years and could'nt get over the hump in VF and now MVC3 is a break from the norm.

Hopefully it would recharge a few batteries in case FS comes out.

I think that this game is way too easy to play and that it will you lose it's fun factor as time goes on.

Hahahah, but yo, I think part of that is probably due to the wide competition pool mvc3 has right now, and the comic character influence. It just gives everyone the drive to play I suppose. Being a comic fan(which TWP said he is) helps with that too.

The biggest issue I got is how a lot of you guys are so salty that VF isn't getting played as much. I mean, yeah, I'm upset about it too cause VF is my favorite, but sometimes I feel that if VF players like ourselves won't even play other fighters and enjoy them, why should other players get into VF?

I'd almost bet that a lot of us played other fighters and people knew we are VF players, they might give the game a try. Remember that gamerbee interview? I think he plugged VF, I bet that at least made some people take a look at it, and they might not have ever if it wasn't for him saying he likes VF the most.

Everytime a new fighter comes out, on VFDC it's people playing it, and others getting upset that VF isn't getting played instead. Over on SRK, people just bash on VF, MK and other such stuff. So over there, they just make people unknowingly not want to play those games. They're all fighting games, if you don't want to play one of them for whatever reason, just don't play it.

I skipped Blazblue, never ever played it. Tekken 6, I ended up not playing it anymore, for no particular reason. I'm not going to bash or hate on either one of these games, or say they lack depth or I can't take them seriously, I just move on. I'd rather not spend my time devaluing something others put value into, because I'm not playing it. It makes people refuse to value what you do, even if it's opinion.

This shit is easy bro...first the button layout. you have six buttons in total, four attacking and two for your assists. You L,M,H and S which is for launching your opponents. I remember when the had to do a series of combos with certain characters to even launch your opponent.

The renaissance kinda started before SF4, from what I saw get released and what I played around 07/08... There were games that were solid that people totally overlooked, or played for un second and then it diminished... GGAC was pretty good, and it got another version of it because some characters needed balancing... Battle Fantasia was another good game that came out then... The arcade version was horribly unbalanced, and Arcsys saw that and balanced the console version, so that it was very playable. In fact, every character was playable, meaning you could win with them if you knew their playstyle... It got overlooked because of the netcode, but the game was (and is) a good blend of 3S (in terms of Yomi and non-hatchi combos) and GGXX (in terms of hatchi combos which were given upon guessing right and countering accordingly). KoFXI came out I think around 06/07 timeframe, and that got some buzz... But, I do feel that since SF4 and games similar to it got released from other companies, that this seems more like a "noob renaissance" for fighters, since these guys are making games that are so accessible for casual gamers that they can look like a pro in almost no time and with an ample amount of mashing out... That doesn't mean that that is true, but with these games being released, look at the new cats that came out of the woodwork that aren't JWong, Yipes, Daigo, Ryan Hart, or even Chibita...

I don't think VF is the only series left that strives for perfection though (fix those damn low hitboxes Sega)... SNK has put a good amount of time in their UM versions of 98 and 2k2, especially 2k2 since that was the 3rd version before Final Edition). Hopefully KoFXIII comes to console to show 2d fighters how its done in terms of being a deep, fun, and balanced (hopefully) fighter... There are other games that are being worked on by "newcomers" (Chaos Code, Skullgirls, Under Night In-Birth) and I hope that these games bring the real renaissance to those that have been patiently waiting... A renaissance in terms of fighting game sales occurred, but yeah for us real heads, I feel its looking about as dark as that movie Metropia... But MvC3 is a fun game for what its worth... I prefer it over SF4...

I think Capcom has had about 1 or 2 balanced fighters though...

Not for nothin, I played VF5 when it was new and had a much larger pool of players probably more than most of you at that same time. Remember at one time I WAS trying to and did improve my game. Dare I say, I used to get into a lot of asses for a minute. We've all gone through cycles in this game since we've played it so long. I won't lie right now VF5 is dead to me.

Some people like doing something different every 5 years or so lol

Marvelous Adventures of Gootecks & Mike Ross! What I like is that Mike Ross coaches Gootecks through some online games.

Ive changed my mind about this game i think it sucks. At first it seems cool because it looks good and you feel good stringing the combos together but now i realize its too easy. Not in the way that i am great or anything , but for instance i was playing some guy online and all it took was one move to hit you with a character like Dante and that's it!! You may as well put the pad down because your gonna eat another 20 moves follwed by a super. You look for that bit more from the game to separate you from beginners (depth) but its just not really there it more comes down to who can get the first attack in rather than needing to really perfect the timing of a combo and say to yourself damn i feel good knowing i can do that combo but you dont.

The same can be said about some characters in SF4, MvC2, Tekkens 1-6, Fatal Fury, and a bunch of other games, both past and present... Some games had characters that did high damage with a few moves in 1 combo, but some games the number just increased, but the damage was still high...

Marvel has always been an all in or nothing kind of game. Funny thing is the person with the most skill and ahem "yomi" will still win.

So after playing with Jinxhand online I can see why so many people bitch about online play. Attacks with high priority become virtually unpunishable that can be punished offline. Meh guess that goes with most fighters unless the connection is optimal.

GG's Jinxhand. That tatsu over and over almost made me write the game off lol until I remembered offline I can regain initiative.

You have to pushblock the second to last hit and then launch. Akuma's give frame advantage on block, Ryu's are very small disadvantage.

The online can be pretty inconsistent. Some days I have near lagless games other times it's frame skipping all over the place.

VG charts is hardly accurate when it comes to that data. However it's sold more than VF5 already.. [IMG]

Yeah I started doing that, granted sometimes I forgot. I know offline its easier to deal with since my friend who mashes does the same thing Tatsu, mash c.L afterwards Tatsu. Hardly any true mixup, but meh maybe I don't understand 2D style play anymore after so long playing nothing but VF.

Its a relief to play great players only because you'll see some effort put into the combos. I'm likely to believe that proper anti airs would make this game much more enjoyable. Well besides Tron, Haggar and Morrigan.

I'm sorry but this game is fucking trash. You guys most have been caught up in the hype cause seriously M.O.D.c.k. or whatever, and y is she hulk in this game ? Spencer too. Character cast is horrible considering all the cool people Marvel and Capcom have to offer. I rather play SSF4 or T6 then this shit fest.
