Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Cast is your primary gripe? There's SOOO much more to not like about the game. You must have hated MvC2 if characters is your gripe.

 

I love the character cast in MVC2, Caption K.O.!!!!!!! My gripe is online and balance. Now the online is a joke I can get a match faster in VF5 which is sad to say. No spectator mode which is a major no no in 2011 fuck is the point of having a 8 man lobby ? The cast is boring Super Skull really?!? The music is blah and X factor should not be in this game. Candy ass bullshit ( Damn right I'm salty shakes fist )

 

GGs man... I use my alt team since I suck doing extended Biocombos online... Yeah Gouki can be a pain online, but I've been punished doing that rushdown... It's just a matter of pushblock and calling the right assist, or having the right crossover counter... Strange thing is I wasn't always trying to tatsu but it came out... I tried doing rdp mixups and it was reading as tatsu, and sometimes vice versa...

I noticed some nice quick combos with MODOK though... I'll try to get on him some more so we can have some mirror matches... He can put people in the corner quick, and I like his relaunch combos...

 

Heh I like Super Skrull. I actually get matches way faster on MvC3 lol, maybe I'm lucky. VF5 has no spectator mode

by the cast of mvc2 you mean....storm, sentinel, magneto and cable + assists?

The next DLC will have 500 characters to choose from, so you'll be satisfied. Nah.

 

Not knockin, people use what works. Thats why Akuma is so popular online. I'm just used to playing offline where I can gain initiative without the frame loss. Prolly just need better online legs is all. Either that or pick Tron or Akuma lol

 

No sweat man... I've been on Gouki in the vs series since XvSF... Never was a fan of Ryu til he could combo Shinkuu Hadouken from hurricane kick in MvC2... I didn't know he was popular nor that he was stronger til I saw it on the boards...

As far as the hate on Biocom, I don't see why people hate on him... He's not Sentinel (high damage + armor), nor is he a returnee to the series... He's also a fun character to use as both point and assist... I do agree with the KFC hate though, it makes things way to easy I mean even worse than Tekken 6's rage combo easy... If they made it like KoF's Max mode or toned it down a bit, I'd be content with it...

The cast is diverse, but I think it would've been dope to see people like Bishop, Nimrod, Silver Surfer, and the Green Goblin for the Marvel side...

 

No worries, I'd Psionic blaster you x infinity prolly if it would hit lol, the way you know something is stronger is if you can spam it and generally have little repercussion

I wasn't referring to "fanbase" popularity, I didn't know about his "he's high tier, so let's pick him" popularity...

 

Nothing wrong with picking him for that reason either.

 

Ok so I've taken a different look at jean teams now. Basically you have the Ph/Dp part of your team and then the other two characters are a team in themselves, since it's pretty much suicide to call Ph outside of a combo (you have need overdrive assist for that). Once 5 bars ding, then it's Jean time, until you bust die and get Dp.

I have found great success with this line of team making for Jean now. I've been rocking Chun(legs assist)/Morg (shadowblade)/Jean(overdrive). Chun and Morg have great synergy all by themselves, and it's pretty easy to build meter with Chun.

If all my plans go to shit and somehow Jean gets gutted early, Morg and Chun are strong enough to still win, especially since I'll normally have 4 bars to work with at that point.

 

With Spencer I think it's the OTG combos. Also, I couldn't figure out how to defend against him while my opponent was softening me up with Hsien Ko with armor on. He was able to cross me up while I was blocking the constant assists and I had no idea what to do to beat it.

 

You know what character I really wish played better? Taskmaster. Granted when I first saw his reveal I was psyched but it seems all about random spidey swing into combo if it hits. Spam, it hopefully they don't nail you during the lag after the swing, land and repeat the spidey swing m,m spam.

Offline I have no problem against it, online....but then again online is a different beast altogether. I don't know when it's good or bad anymore.

 

Some Task players use the b+H, S launch, S, air qcf+H to relaunch combo, especially in the corner...

Spidey swing + assist is great though...

I hope FS gets stopped at the physical production level so the sour grapes parade will have something to march about.

I know it will get released though so I'll just laugh my ass off when everyone starts playing it only to jump off for whatever Tekken or SF title gets released a month later.

 

VF was at it most fun when there were good connection matches on the regular. The half life of the next game will most likely depend on how long the players (not just on this site) keep queuing for ranked and player matches, that aren't at just 1 or 2 bars.

 

I agree. FS will be popular for 3 weeks until the next big thing comes around. People who stopped playing VF5 because it wasnt the latest version, will only play FS until the next revision.

The thing is, there is no VF community unless we make it. We are the VF community. If we dont play the game, there is no community. Please dont bother reply that its Sega's fault. Sega could close its doors tomorrow, but that does not mean that the VF community would follow suit.
