True indeed Denkai. Whats funny is im looking at certain people with the People's Eyebrow because while they can't Throw escape or work on the holes in they have in VF they are racking thier brain to assemble a crew to counter another crew. I don't want you guys to kill yourself trying to find the right team.

@Shiny - If you need a teleport character to beat a openly-broken character then it means that your forced to "assemble a crew to counter another crew"

Im sorry im not trying to show you up or anything but this game is the worst. Day 8 for me and i still feel like i want more.
Im not using my SDS Account ATM RROD and my bro has the new model. Too lazy to download my account to his.

Well I agree that the game is frustrating at first I still believe its not as bad as everyone says it is. Its only been out a week and I still have a lot to learn. This article might be for you.

This is just a game to keep me busy while waiting for final showdown.

    I like that article.

    choice bits:

"Broken means that a strategy actually breaks the game, not the thing you lose too for reasons you can't even accurately describe over your own raging. "

"Getting hit by ‘random’ attacks isn’t random, it’s a MISTAKE. Or perhaps more accurately it’s a byproduct of taking risks in these games, since while you have complete control of your character it means that the opponent is as well and you have to accept that sometimes your decisions will be directly countered by a ‘less skilled’ opponent."

    here's a kicker below:

"If the goal is to encourage a player base and attempt to grow it, Marvel already was doing half right by having tons of shiny stuff and lots of crap going on to stare at. The other half was attempting to show that you can play this game and from a company standpoint that's definitely something you want. From a tournament standpoint that's something you want as it increases player bases, prizes, etc. "

    Go MvsC3.

People will always find a reason to complain about when they are losing. Either the character they are facing is too powerful or their character is underpowered of if it were a previous version, they'd be winning or if their character could do this move, they'd be winning. Just shut up and play.

I liked how Marn essentially said any winning player will have Sentinel on his team and then Justin came in and scooped Wednesday Night Fights with Wolverine, Magneto, Storm. And previous to this people were thinking Wolverine to be damaged goods.

LMAO!!! True to a sense but Was'nt we getting frustrated when trying to learn VF? Or how bout getting people to try out VF without them saying its a hard game? All that stuff people talking about by saying shut up and play or just learn... I ain't trying to hear it no more seriously. When we mention that VF is a game anyone can play once giving the chance we get laughed at and ignored. Our little Forum is conisdered a joke to many because VF is a hard game but we took time to scrape the coal off to find a diamond (Atleast i have.) and were blessed to know how to play a helluva game.

This is no Rant towards you L.A. i take your word for everying involving info but i guess it the innner me wanting FS to get the attention it deservesif it comes to the states.

I've yet to have any problems with sentinel, every character on the game can instant overhead him xx assist combo. Sent can't instant overhead anymore and has a command grab so what can he really do if you just jump and guard? Every character on my team can avoid his zoning or just out zone him so his beams aren't much of a threat. Can't block during flight and his assist can be supered on reaction since he stays out for awhile.

Only things he has in this game so far is easy to do damaging combos / high health and early on that's always going to be tough for people to deal with. I'm sure when you first started playing VF5 Jeff knee and 33PG were tough. Not so much anymore...

Outside of X-factor (everyone has tough stuff in X-factor) he's not any stronger than the other characters.

Honestly I know my issues with sent come with my own personal ass mobility. I do better on stick but as soon as I grabbed my custom stick from my old place my damn buttons went to shit. X box pad = hell on earth for old arcade hands. True words, keep away isnt as strong as early mvc2 imo. To many teleports and too big of damage for some simple chip/beam damage. Heck you cant even stay in the air that long or do as many aerial attacks. Personally I can see it being more fair to characters with less movement options but its not nearly as frantic. (a trait I liked in mvc2) Im still not feeling the butchering of anti airs though.

Also was I seeing things or does the chipped at guy get meter faster than the chipping? Maybe I just burn meter to much.

Does anyone else have problems connecting to quick matches? 9 times out of 10 I get either "failed to connect" or "lost connection to the host" while trying to search for a game. Then it kicks you out to the main menu.

Is it something unique about my connection, or did capcom just royally fuck up the matchmaking process?

capcom knows about the issue and they're working on it. too bad, though.

Too bad, indeed. Its frustrating enough that it makes me turn the xbox off and find something else to do. Sitting around playing MvC3 online already feels like a waste of time (because I'll never go pro with this game), but sitting and trying to play MvC3 is a level of pointless that I've rarely seen.

And just so I contribute to this thread: This game is simple to learn and difficult to master. I fear that too many people are taking the run-away technique as an easy way out in the beginning, but hopefully that will improve as time goes on. Also, I'd like to say that Amaterasu is officially my favorite character.

The best thing to do for matchmaking is to enable fight request while playing arcade or training mode

    Or, make a lobby.

Ughh lost in a tounranment though cuz i thought Phoenix's purpose was to die asap. But she doesn't die if you dont touch her.

This is pretty much my opinion at the moment. The game is ok in single player and for the odd casual match but I could never play it competitively.

Ok, I hope this post will not get lost among many others.
I just started playing this game, so I probably suck, but please, if you are on PSN, add me, and let's play.
I fell like in this game, more than in any other, simply playing is a lot better than any minute spent in training.

    so it wasn't just me..

interesting on the training mode fight request thing sounds like a good idea, but if everyone does that won't there be no one to challenge?

so whats so good about ammy? I tried to play her cause I liked okami but I don't see how shes worth it with her super low hp?

Sharp7, its her weapons. It reminds me of stances in a way. She can adapt to her opponent by changing her move set. If you're playing against a rushdown, you can use the sun (ddL) and use the reversal shields or use the whip (ddH) to play keep away. Against ranged characters, the sun can reflect some fireballs, the sword (ddM) can get around the screen with a brutal overhead (air hold H) and the whip can shoot ice like a mo-fo.

Plus you can auto-combo with any weapon by pressing f+H, H, H,... for 5 hits (16 with the whip). You can call assists during that too.

She does have super low HP, but she's short enough to duck under a lot of projectiles, so she takes less chip damage in some situations. Her air dash is scary too, because it looks telegraphed but can be canceled at any time.
