I miss old wolf's [6][3][2][1][4][P]+[G] when he used to take opponent's arm and throw them. And i miss his old side throw too from vf3.

There's another thing i miss, but isn't a real "move" i miss the sound from aoi's back throw. Now that throw has only one sound, but it used to have 2 sounds. One when she chopped the opponent's neck and one when she put him on the ground. Does anybody remember that?

I agree. I loved that move, and every time I see him do a new vertical suplex move (Brainbuster Emerald Frosion from head crumple in FT/5, Modified Falcon Arrow from RAW in FS), I get excited and think "Yay, he has his SSD back!"

Then I get disappointed and cry. But then realise he has a new throw, so it's all good.

Wow, a thread I forgot about. Reading all the recent posts is so nostalgic! I can't believe how many moves are now gone.

It would be really interesting to have a list of all the differences between revisions, or as another member said, being able to unlock them. Alas there might end up being a joystick input command shortage. =|

The earliest revision change I remember was from VF2 to 2.1. I remember they changed the barrier between characters. For instance, if you were running toward your opponent you would stop running at a certain distance. In 2.1, and especially when the opponent was on the ground, you could keep the running animation going for a bit even when you were right next to them.

I know there were quite a few changes from VF3 to TB but I can't remember any of them right now. I know they made a lot of changes to Taka. Once when I was in California for a Street Fighter tournament someone had a VHS tape of VF3TB showing all the differences in moves and if there were frame changes. It was really cool. It was a split screen (top and bottom) showing the same move being performed at the same time in slow motion. The top screen was VF3 and the bottom screen was TB. I have never seen that since. Does anyone have this or know what I'm talking about?

And I still swear that in Version A of VF4 Shun's BT punches hit both high and low. Actually it wasn't the punches that hit low, but I swear he also stuck a kick out at the same time. If this is true it is the only move ever that can hit both levels, which is cheap as hell! I wonder though if you could block high no matter what, but it could hit low in case you were in a low state.

First time I hear about the existence of such a VF3 video. Would love to get my hands on it not only to further complete my VF3 video achieve but just for the joy of delving into VF3 history once more.

I still have dreamcast and VF3TB and DC arcade stick.. I could test things [IMG] Too bad theres no VF3 vanilla on console.

In regards of older VF's I have most of the matches of a VF4E Kakutou shinseiki tournament (at least one) back when it was streamed. Iirc at least most matches from the tournament that that Jackyplayer whose name escapes me won.

However these files are in *.asf format and Im unable to convert them to a format that I could upload. Im not sure if I can even view them.. Anybody know about anything about this format? Its because the matches were recorded from a live stream.

Makes me wonder and sometimes angry, for Sega to take out certain moves from the fighters. I like Jeffrey's Coconut Crusher and Arm Breaker over his Number One Buster and Only One Buster since both moves look the same and his VF3 wall throw which he rubs his opponent to the wall and knees their back. Pai's DDT and the [4] [6] [P] [+] [G] were superior than her replacements in Evolution. Furthermore, I know that Sega could at least used his Wrist Lock Swing to Pendulum Lariat, KS, and Snap Meyer to Soccer Ball Kick instead of taking them out of the games. Man, there are list of some strikes and throws that I wish Sega shouldn't removed.[/size]

Gotta find the time but you know I'd love to. I was just thinking about the VF boards in the basement and booting up VF3.
