MK vs DC thoughts and reactions...

This shit is trash i don't even have to play to know. Once i seen the DC character all have the same walk damn near with those stiff ass attacks i realized Midway is assed out.

This shit is weak and nothing can tell me otherwise. The Joker just turned me off in those videos.

I was never a fan of MK after MK3 released. I even bought MK3 on the DS and I haven't played it very much. I was so bad at MK games in general that I never really got into them and I won't even bother with MK vs DC since I would rather focus on SF4 and the new marvel game coming out on the Wii real soon.

 

someone needs to tell midway to please stop making fighting games... either go back to the old way or stick to just Blitz and NBA Ballers or what ever it's called.

I played it all last night and I'm still enjoying it. I'm not sure where Konjou got the "no arcade stick" thing, cause I'm playing with my Hori EX and it works perfectly. Upon futher exploration, this game has just-frame attacks, cancels, combo breakers (not like KI) and some cool characters. I had a lot of fun messing around with Cat Woman last night. I really haven't had a match yet where I said, "oh this game is broken, this guy is over-powered."

After exploring more, there is more depth there than some other posters here are willing to admit. MK vs DC has some difficult combos (VERY difficult) and there is strategy involved. The combo breaker adds more to the game as good players will use it very quickly (if they have one) to prevent you from comboing.

I'm one of those people that likes to play practice mode as well. The Kombo Challenge is very... challenging, and is the kind of mode someone like me can play for a long time, just trying to perfect my control. I personally tend to do that in any fighting game though.

The just frame attacks add depth to the combo system and require good timing. This game is much more of a 2D game than a 3D game. Most people don't spend too too much time circling in 3D, they'll jump fireballs or you can answer and trade hits.

It depends what kind of game you like and what your standards are. I used to love Killer Instinct but I think most here thought it sucked. I truly will play almost ANY fighting game and have fun. If you have doubts about what I'm saying, fine, this isn't an advertisement; these are my thoughts on this game after 2 days of play.

I still will have to say I like the game and recommend it to fighting game fans...

 

Yeah I can use my Hori too, but 2 buttons has to be set way up on top where the Xbox button is, so with buttons up so high and out of reach you are only handicapping yourself.

As for people not circling in 3-D this is normal in almost all new games. Just wait till people understand the system and learn how to implement the 3-D walk. Trust me it will get used at least for than usual for some characters.

I remember in DOA4 when it was first released no way did 3-D moving, but now some characters can really take use of it by stunning you and then walking towards you back and hitting you from behind to start combos. Like I said above this is a tactic that in DOA seems to be useful for specific characters, so I won't be surprised if something similar shows up for MK.

For example maybe freeze someone with Sub Zero then walk behind him to put the opponent closer to a wall for longer juggle. Anything is possible... I guess time will tell.

GAME IS SHIT! Midway needs to offer refunds!

 

HAHA I have never been a fan of the MK series but the idea of using Flash did spark my fancy. Good to hear I'm not going to be spending hours on another fighting game. I only have space for 3 fighters in my heart at a time.

Try doing a 64 hit combo in Mavel Super Heroes on a keyboard. Now that difficult. These combos ain't difficult sorry Gernburgs.

This game FUCKING SUCKS!!!! Flash has Kabal Moves? This shit looks garbage. Joker is a Fucking joke with his dry as slide kicks move.The best thing about this game is tackling a person through walls then throwing afterward.I mean come on Gernbergs are you serious? Do see the animations in this game? The Kicks, The Punches? Chill Son i can't even hear you right now.

 

Are the combos similar to the older games where you just tap buttons in a sequence, no directional inputs involved?

SRK seem to enjoy the game. Not that they're any authority on opinion and shit though.

My friend got it, and I watch him play it, I mean it's cool and The Joker and Kitana would be cool to use, but the game animation be looking uptight.

I'm just fine watching someone play that's it.
