oh and imho mkII was the best mortal kombat game.

 

I personally liked Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

 

Primal Rage was great game in my opinion. A little ahead of it's time back then. I think the semi complicated controls is was made it hard to sell to gamers during that time line.

 

Yeah, the new Fight Night looked impressive in the trailer. There adding a lot of great new ideas. There's also the new UFC game. If they build off the base of the UFC on Dreamcast that could be really good.

 

I read about a game like that somewhere (maybe someone here linked it, I can't remember.) but it looks like a ghetto but slightly suped up version of MK1. I wish I could remember the name of it, but they did the character models like MK1, with digitized photos or whatever midway did to give MK1 the specific look.

I hope someone here has seen this game before too, the site that advertises it is hilarious too. But this game is supposed to be a serious fighting game, but it looks like ghetto (but next-gen) MK1...

Dark Presence... Could this be the shittiest game ever made???

They claim that every character has 3 different finishing moves per every other character because depending on the characters fighting the finishers are different for every match up. They claim it would take 2 hours just to watch the 474 different fatalities...

I want that game.

 

I happen to own fight night round 3 on PS3. While it has kind of cool fighting system (which is propably impossible to play on anything other than pad) I find that its not really complicated game. The differences between characters arent that great, and there is no difference in movesets between characters. They just have stylistic differences (slugger - fast straights etc) that affect things like punch speed or power. You can play it ineffectively (slugger) or effectively (fast puncher) but I get bored with it rather quickly.

Haha, Tony man I know MK games are awful but versus mode in The Bouncer really better?! I remember renting that game and it was so awful I couldn't even play it.

And Fight Night games are good stuff, i've enjoyed all of them so far. Manji is right though Fight Night games don't have much depth to them.

 

Don't you talk bad about the bouncer it was a game ahead of it's time.

If you haven't been on line with Fight Night you should try it. There are some catz wiz zum skillz that could give you a new perspective on the game /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif The boxing game has evolved and
come a long way since 4 D boxing on the P.C. Fight Night Round 3
is a reasonably good boxing simulation (although there is lots of room for improvement) IMHO its worth the money. If you are a boxing fan and a fight game fan, Fight Night Round 3 is a must have.

Likewise I suspect UFC2009

How are UFC games, I never tried playing one. I do like watching MMA/UFC. How well does it translate over?
