Monster Hunter is gonna be the SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I played the hell out of this to ps2. I took down the rathian pair with all offline equipment. I dropped the ratholos with 1 second left (on my last life)!!!!!!!! IT WAS EPIC!!!!! Ugh, love this game.

I tried to like World of Warcraft.

I got to level 74 and simply gave up. It's a fun game and I can see why so many people like it and also why so many people hate it.

Levelling was becoming far too tedious for me. And I like PSO.

In fact if any of you are up for some blue burst you gotta let me know.

 

I'll be on the Wii version when it drops in April I believe... man I can't wait to play it. Hunting monsters in this game is so much fun. Really there is no game quite like Monster Hunter.

 

Yeah PSOBB is dope... I still play that from time to time, but I take too many breaks from it... PSU sucked imo... I do like the option to make ur mag a playable party member though...

Oh yeah, there's talk of MH being ported to the 360... Will provide the link when I can...

 

I know what you mean, I've been playing PSO off and on since it came out on the Dreamcast.

I've had it on DC, GC Xbox and PC.

If they re-release it I'll probably buy it and a new hunters license yet again.

 

Ugh, no offense but that game was terrible.

The only MMORPG that has ever held my attention for more than a month or two was WOW.

I'll probably play the new FF Online when that's out, but I don't think I'm willing to invest the kind of time I did in WOW for any video game anymore.

Ah, glad someone else played this. I agree, it was a unique experience for ur What weapon did u like Rod?

I started with the giant sword but ended up 'main'-ing the Ogre Tusk lance. I tried to dabble in guns (demonlock) but just couldn't find them viable for 1 player.

It's a game that had no real offerings and was plagued by bots even on the first week of release.

It's quite literally the only game I've played where I saw more or as many bots as I did players...

The hook to the game was PVPVE which in my opinion (and almost everyone elses) was poorly executed.

The game is a pretty decent grind fest with no real reward or hook.

There are a lot of other issues, mostly unfixed bugs such as movement or camera related, especially in the air, but I don't feel like elaborating anymore.

 

This was one of the only games my wife and I played together religiously. Hours and hours of too much fun! Count me in and add me to your party please!

Loved the meat cooking song on the spit. XD

 

have any of you played monster hunter freedom 2 yet. They added a lot more stuff. cat warriors ftw.

I dabbled with sword and shield a lot, but i was the giant sword all the way. Hammer was fun... never coud get into guns... and lances I honestly never gave a try. This time around i will seriously look into twin swords, but will probably stick to giant swords. I just love bopping them over the head with a critical hit and then watching them dragons get stunned, shake theirs heads saying something liek "WTF was that? damn that hurt!" hahahaha and if your timing was good you pop them again and then they keel over kicking and screaming lmao man that's what mad that game fun.

My Wii is modded, so I'm gonna give the Japanese version of the game a spin tonight. I'm sure I'll like it though. I plan to play it regardless and already have a team of people I will be hunting with on day one.

All that's left is to patiently await the release date and then hit up gamestop.

are we getting the xbox 360 version or not? if we do i will prolly hold out for it...otherwise...chaotic grace and social ruin will likely be out poaching deer ears together on day 1.

 

I'm not interested in the Xbox360 version. Honestly I think it's coming way to late considering it's been out in Japan for like 2 possibly 3 years. The Wii version has way more new features and monsters and has only been out in Japan for maybe 2-3 months tops. It's a fresh new start for everyone and best part is it will be FREE to play. I'm pretty sure the Xbox360 version will be pay to play.
