Just play Battlefield Bad Company 2 and bring buildings down on people's head. Call in mortar strikes and spot enemies, drive a tank and a helicopter. Get awarded for good teamwork...

 

Just be like Gernburgs, rave about a game and then as soon as something new and shiny comes out pick that up and immediately jump on the bandwagon in a huge way.

 

I played MW2 for well over 300 hours. It got old. The camping is brutal.

Trust me, BFBC2 is hot. I'd also so bet my ass you don't own both and haven't played both games either. Just cause BFBC2 is good, doesn't make MW2 bad.

After 300+ hours and 4 prestiges you get tired of playing Quarry and Derail 1000 times.

 

Any game gets old if you play it enough

 

Sadly, I have to agree with you 100%... Some games last longer than others but there's no forever as you said.

My own personal hell would be playing TDM on Quarry for eternity.

One reason I think BFBC2 feels very fresh every time I play it is because the level ends up being different every game due to buildings being knocked down or destroyed part way. The game play actually molds the playing environment so there's some good level variation thrown in, even when it's the same level. There's not necessarily one good spot or another cause you can blow it up.

I think IW may have waited too long to release new maps. The game came out almost 6 months ago and there was never any new content during that entire time. I commend them on the leveling system but after prestige-ing 4-5 times it's hard to tell yourself you should keep trying or that you will get to something new.

I still think the Striker is the best shotgun though

I'll give it to you, those look pretty sweet.

How long does it take to make those maps? IW definitely adds a lot of artistic detail to make the levels feel more real and gritty... I like that.

I still hate Quarry though

 

Thats the kinda thing I like about MW2, all the little details that make it look authentic. The way people can blend into areas or be partially hidden, makes it alot more tense you have to scan everything.

I dont know how long it takes to make new maps but Ill tell you, just looking at vids of the 2 old maps that are gunna be added made me bored. I dont like doing the same thing twice and cant be assed to pay extra just for the sake of nostalgia.

Theres only one game I'd (have) liked to have seen with updated graphics and that was ocarina of time. Instead they give us the windwaker. DAMN YOU TO HELL NINTENDO!

Although another thing how the hell can perfect dark, a full game cost 800 ms points and these maps cost 1200? And if they were on the PC they'd probably be free for nuts sake!

 

personally i can't wait. I'm excited, and i'll pay the 1200 MS points. I haven't ever seen them since i didn't play mw1. But i can see why it would be annoying to people who did play it.

Also there was a mandatory patch that came at the same time as the download.

AFAIK this included:
Pavelow glitch fixed (it now counts towards you killstreak).

Attack helicopter buffed, I haven't read out right proof of this but it seems way, way more powerful.

OMA tweek. When using OMA pro, after every succesive change, 1 second will be added to the change time. This is supposed to stop the OMA,DC nub tub combo. Which it doesn't really.

Sentry guns:If you have no deaths they now count towards your killstreak I think. Haven't tested this out though cause I dont use em.

 

Sentrys always did count towards killstreaks just not if you got them from carepackages right?

Anyway. I really do enjoy the new and old maps. But all the same BS in MW2 is still there I've come to realize.

The new maps rule, love the inclusion of crash and overgrown.
A bit of nostalgia for all of us who played cod4 and didn't just jump on the bandwagon when mw2 came out. Confused as to why the stimulus maps weren't just added into the shuffle with the rest tho, I don't want to have to play sabotage and search and destroy to enjoy the new maps.

 

I dno, there was something about if you didnt move them they might count-never used em so not sure. But now they are fixed as long as you have no deaths.

The only thing that proper bothers me about MW2 is,P2P,Commando and DC.

DC TBH would not care one way or the other if it was taken out. Have you ever used OMA-DC-tubes? It literally feels like cheating it's so easy.

 

Ah they have man, I was playing demo today and the new maps came up every now and then.

It just took em a day to add them.

 

so the new maps are in the rotation or not? It's not gonna be like the map packs for GoW was, where u had to choose random old maps or random new maps, is it?

 

yeah, their in rotation now. they just weren't the day they came out.
