Hey what game modes do you guys like to play? Also do u play on hi-def tv's cause i still can't see shit?

oh yeah, what do ur guys bad games look like? sometimes i do well, but sometimes i get spanked like 2 kills 13 deaths, and just get murdered.

My bad games are like 1/5 K/D ratio. When i start getting up i result to the M-16 and i stop chasing motherfucker around who already have the traps set. I pick a spot and try to heat up with a few kills here and there.

    I've had something like 6 in 16 about 3 times. Usually a bad game is a 0.9 K/D, if I have a couple of those in a row it's time to take a break. I don't play on hi-def.

Try changing your brightness levels Social. In counterstrike you could practically cheat by changing your brightness levels because you could see people through smoke.

I love ground war, I play that almost exclusively. Free for all I have been digging recently also. Something I found that helped me recently was fiddling around with sensitivity. Did you know the default sensitivity is 2?! I put it on 4 and it's weird but has improved my game so far, although it's harder to track targets far away. The pros play on sensitivities ranging from 5-8.

SDS what sensitivity do you play on?

Social - I probably average below 1.0 k/d and get beat on fairly often. Sometimes I hold my own well and other times I blow it badly. I usaully Mercenary TDM or TDM Express but im pretty sure i've never come in first on my team. Im really starting see that it's crucial to have the right weapons/attachments for a given stage. Like using a scope on a more open stage for example. Im pretty good at shooting down the enemies air support though.

thanks for the replies. yeah gerns, i'm starting to learn that too about the gear. When i have time i plan on replying to the old "whats ur class question" but my class in always changing, lol.

Actaully, do any of you guys use army of one. that sounds pretty sweet to me. I think i would really like being able to run to a building top, snipe, then change back to AR for ground level, adn then maybe switch to a launcher to shoot down enemy air. Sounds great.

Nah my neither but I only played one of two games. It's not precise enough for me.

Hey man, thanks for the advice for sure. I decided to give the M16 a try and found that my accuracy issues disappeared on this 3 burst rifle. I realize now, that my initial aim with the scar was ok, but the firing would draw me off target. So i would get hits, but not enough to kill. But with:
    M-16
    duel ranger shotguns
bling pro: heartbeat sensor, holographic scope
    stopping power pro
    ninja pro
    last stand

I have been doing some damage now. I usually finish with 2-5 more kills than deaths. Rarely ever with 5 less kills than deaths. Also, i've had a 19-0 (altho this was sniping from the window in skidrow with barret sniper rifle), and 28-8, 33-12, and a few other beastly (for me) games. Point is, i have more really good games than really bad games now. I'm sure better perks and equipment helps, but i think the HB sensor kinda taught me the sneaking/patience aspect. And i learned alot when powering up the attachments on the M16 from then sneaking around and watching my map without the HB sensor.

Thanks for suggesting the M16 SDS. I imagine i would have tried it out eventually, but after you were hyping it i switched to it, and i am home with the 3 burst shots for sure.

A few notes. I saw the true ridulousness of the akimbo 1887 when someone sniped my from a 2nd story window, acroos a parking lot from them on the back side of skidrow. I coulnd't believe it. He aimed a little to the left of me, and took me out from 1/3 of a block away, i was shocked...sniping with duel shotguns, insane.

Another big help to my game. I had asked before about hi-def TVs...well, damn, i think maybe they would make a difference. My eyesight is so-so, maybe kinda bad, but i'm 29 and never had glasses, so i guess i just deal with it. I was actually shocked about a year ago when i put on my GF's glasses and the world slid into hi-def, lol. Anyhow, last few nights i have been wearing her glasses while playing (so i'm the guy sitting at home wearing chic's glasses and while killing you, lol) and i have to say. It has made a HUGE difference. For example on underpass, i can sometimes see and snipe people (with m-16 or barret) when i barely make out there shoulders and head outline in the fog and drizzle. People i just can't see without the glasses on. Sad but true. That little bit of difference can be the difference in seeing a shifting in the fog and getting the kill. That kill can be the difference between getting a care package that gives a chopper gunner or not. And that chopper gunner can be the difference between 12 kills or more. Every little bit helps ya know. Also, it's more fun that i'm not a free kill. I've taken my k/d from like .44 to .89 and climbing. around 3000 deaths still.

anyhow, thanks for your help guys.

Good to hear Social, If you can get 4 kills then ou should try pred msle>harrier>CG as your killstreak. It's only one more kill and once you get the pred the kills mount pretty rapidly.

T'other day I was playing TDM and I actually had my nuke set up on. I was on a 20 killstreak, I had a chopper gunner that I HADNT EVEN USED....and the game ended.... [IMG]

How easy it wouldve been to use the CG and get 5 kills for the nuke. Woe is me.

Since maxing out the AUG and FAMAS my K/D hasn't really improved cause Ive been looking for a gun to main. Currently having fun with:

    M4 silenced,RDS
    G18 silenced,akimbo = (PWNAGE!)
    Bling pro
    Stopping power pro
    Ninja pro

so your digging the silenced? Because it makes you more invisible on the map. I can definitely see how that would cut down on the number of deaths you have. I saw somewhere online that silence + red dot was beast, just wondered if there was a reason why it is red dot and not a holograph. thanks buddy.

Although, to be honest, i kinda like how people swarm to me. Since i have ninja pro and HB sensor, i feel i can usually get the jump on the and just add another kill to my tally. I love just feeling dangerous while creeping around the map. Like i'm just running things [IMG] [IMG]

Still i may add silencer when i get better. It would be kinda nice to have silencer/ninja pro and be sneaking around the map invisible.

I think right now my kill streaks are Care package>pred missile>CG/harrier. Depending on what map i sometimes switch them. I've thought of dropping the Care Package, but shit, that is where i've gotten all my CG's. I think when i'm a little bit better i will. I've just recently gotten so that i get a Care package regularly, but still don't get 5 kills a lot of times. I've about tho, switching my pred msle for a sentry gun. I may play with that for maps with lots of building and blind corners.

yep, there have been so many moments when I've flanked some guys and have got 5 kills instead of 2 becuase I had a silencer. That being said I took it off my ACR yesterday and noticed a real difference in how many bullets it took to kill from a distance.

I think RDS and HBS is personal preferance, there's maybe some difference in recoil between the two (difinately is with ACOG and thermal). In real life you'd be able to see the red dot laser and know where the guy is (like near the end of the campaign when you're in the caves with Price), but that's not applicable in multi afaik.

Yep I've gotta take that into account. A pred msle on skidrow is borderline useless. You know if you pop on hardline you get a care package in 3 kills right? Might be worth a try. [IMG]

I just CANNOT use the HBS, I'll give it a go, I'll see a red dot then I'll stop to see which direction he's going in then BAM knife to the nuts because he sprinted towards me before my HBS refreshed. Fricken &@$*!! technology.

Red dot has less tunnel vision. While holograph has better zoom. Its all preference really.

Yeah triple burst is sweet with stopping power.
Once i spot you one trigger press and your outta there lol!!
    Holographic Sight
    FMJ for extra pentration damage
and it can get ugly real quick.
On medium ranged stages i use the silencer but the silence takes away from the accuracy for some stupid reason.
Heartbeat sensor is useless for the same reason Diggery just mention. Also you eye is trained to look at the map instead of the HBS radar because its refresh rate is garbage.

I threw the ACOG on my M-16 silence to earn thermal i could'nt shit shit that was'nt stationary because it bounced all over the place unlike campaign mode lol!!!
Got the thermal and it turned my M-16 in a sniper rifle.

    Couple more thoughts.

I love the C4 explosives. I like throwing them against a wall when i'm in a building. I know they will eventually come to me for my dot on the minimap. I use my HBS and when they are in that hallway BOOM. Today, me and a teammate were sniping off a building in Karachi, and i used this technique and got a triple kill. It was great [IMG] But also i've been using it to good advantage on skidrow, and invasion, and rundown. On rundown i'll drop the C4 right before either side of one of the bridges. On skidrow, if you like to snipe from the building on the south end of the map, i LOVE putting the C4 in the laundry-mat. That is sic. You wait til you see one or 2 people run itno the laundrymat and pull the trigger--->KABOOM. Usually this happens when more than one person runs into that big parking, i'll snipe off one of them and the rest run into the laundry mat to get cover while rushing my building [IMG] It works really well, so fun.

I also like to snipe with the .50 barrett really well. Recently i've been using the thermal and FMJ to see how i like it. And sometimes i just mow people down. Shot, kill, shot, kill, and just one shot everyone. But sometimes, i will line up dead on people and shoot them in the chest or head, and nothing, they don't even flinch, i hit them again after recoil, not changing my aim at all, and 1 shot kill. Also, if we are facing each other, my shot will hit them right in the chest/head they kill me, i watch the kill cam and they didn't take any damage. ...
    ...
Has anyone else had this problem, where their 1st shot with sniper rifles don't inflict any damage or count as a hit?

Ah man thats not the worst of it, the other day I put two bursts right into a guys chest at a range of 20 feet from an m16 and got hit confirmation both times. So that's 40dmg per bullet plus 1.4 for stopping power equalling 336dmg inflicted. What does he do, knifes me with commando from across the room. My chin....floor.

It's just lag basically. I saw a vid on youtube and the reason being that it is p2p. Often the reason why 2 shots from a scar with stopping power doesn't actually kill, you usually have to spray for a bit.

If you watch the killcam afterwards you can see what the game thinks happened (as opposed to what you saw happen) and that usually explains it.

Man, had the opportunity to play this on system link, it's insane the difference in feel. Nothing is questionable. Normal mode feels like hardcore with how easily people get put down lol. Online's still fine to play on but was surprised at how nice it was.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> And when you say it turns your M16 into a sniper with the thermal, do you mean in a good way or bad way? As in do you like it or not?
    </div></div>
The aim isn't steady and i have to hold my breath to focus lol!!! With My Sweet 16 i usually pick off Snipers i might see flinch. One thing for sure that is nerve racking is when i piece a dude with multiple m16 shot with FMJ and they seem to just hit me once and im dead. I always check kill cams to see reasoning and i never even fired around in that instant. Same thing goes for battling Duel 1887's.

Those things are lame, it almost always seems to go in the 1887s favour.

I tried the m16 with thermal last night (had to unlock it first). It creates an interesting hybrid, with steady aim it's still good for CQC but at the same time is effectively a burst sniper. I'd say it's good if you get your crosshairs over the guy before you ADS but if not its kinda tricky to position the sight over the guy.
