Man I just got back from Dawson, I can barely believe what's just happened. Apparently the shooting occurred at 12:45, just 15 minutes after I left for a break. The metro stopped running at McGill, so I had to walk to back to Dawson, until I ran into a friend that told me what was going on. It was just so sureal. And to think if I had stayed there 15 minutes more...

 

Thank God you didn't stay.

I just got back home from the mess downtown (it's 7:30 now).

Apparently, there are two confirmed dead, the shooter and a woman under the age of twenty.

Apparently, the girl was already shot. The shooter asked one of the guys holding her to check out the window if there were cops. He asked him if he could take her outside to get some help, then one of the girls said, while crying, "Can someone check if she's still alive?!?" Then the guy who went to the window checked and said "Ya, she is."

Then the shooter shot her twice and said "Now she's dead..."

Pretty fucked up. Glad you got out of there O.K. stealth_fox.

I hope none of your friends got hurt.

 

Damn thats sounds really fucked up. As far as I know none of my friends were hurt, but I haven't got in touch with a lot of them. One of my friends hid behind the lockers as the guy was shooting, and another was stuck in her class and had to make a barricade with the tables. Fucked up shit indeed.

Hey, stealth_fox, you know anyone named Kerry-Ann Thompson? I went to elementary and high school (grade 7 and 8 only) with her, and I think she goes to Dawson.

I don't keep touch with her, but I saw her in the metro once or twice. She's the only one I know (there's probably more, but when I changed high school, I lost touch with pretty much everyone) that goes to Dawson.

This just hit the news today over here in the MA. The thing that gets me is the amatuer video from a cell phone. That takes some balls, or extreme stupidity when there is a derranged person around shooting people with a fully automatic weapon. It might have been at the point where police were already engaged with the suspect, but still have some common sense not to be at the wrong place at the wrong time willingly. You're not Frank West, he's covered wars ya know..

The shooter and an 18 year old girl (the story I wrote before). Her name was Anastasia Desouza...

You know, I never had a doubt in my mind that he wouldn't go to the NHL, no one had any doubts...but Harvard!?!

Just to give you some bearings Myke, it was infront of the Future shop close to the hotel you stay in.

But, there's apparently a VF4 machine at the Paramount downtown. WOOT!!!

 

Ok work has calmed down (too much actually) so I would be willing to host games again. The problem is that I'm not sure Iike playing on the day I set up /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

So if you have any ideas as to when would be better, just shoot. I figure some here have odd schedules, so we can try to setup a date that is conveniant for everyone. Just a few things, Mondays are out. I'm not missing Heroes for you bozzos. And I'd rather not try to schedule it on Saturday or Friday.

Or we could just have it when we see that enough are available.
