If we stop long enough for me to catch the Simpsons it could work. But I think we'd be better off just picking random dates when people are more available. Instead of the same day every week.

 

Hey guys, I'm kinda new to this place (Zero informed me through SRK) but I'd be interested in going over and playing with you guys.

when January rolls around, hopefully things should calm down in my world. The holiday season is always a busy unpredictable time of year.

I haven't met you guys yet to fight, but I will do my best to make an appearance in January.

then after February 20th, I hope you guys would of managed to get a PS3 by then because it's VF5 from then on , baby!

hey Cuz, are you in the Peck building at Ubi? or are you in that 160 building?

I'm on the 2nd floor of the Peck building, I don't know if there are fighting game fans at Ubi, I never see anyone play at launch time

maybe once a week, some of us can find a TV in the stuido to plug a PS2 and VF4evo a couple of rounds

Dang there was a TV, and a PS2 by me but it disappeared last week.

Cuz and I are Level Designers, Fagan is a Tester, and Wasted is a 3D animator

 

Awesome. I know someone who's planning on becoming a 3D animator. What do companies like Ubi look for in a new animator fresh out of college? What do they like to see?

 

Poppa, the most important thing is having a good demo reel.
What sells an animator is his demo, but don't make it too long or repititious, show the good stuff and keep the total under 2 minutes tops.

As Video games is concerned, an animator's demo reel should contain various walk cycles, run cycles, jumps, any sort of animations that would be geared for gaming. (I did a Stone Cold Stunner and slipped it into my demo, hehe)

If one intends to get into cinematics, it's good to have acting shots, and having lip sync animation with good facial animation.

 

Got a PS3 on Friday, I have an extra couch now, just in case, I'm only missing sticks and the game and we'll be all set /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

i've been playing VF for a while and i used to play at the Arcade on St-Catherine(forgot the name, casino?). I remember having sessions with Mr. White and his Big Bad Wolf.

I will be getting the game on launch but i don't have any sticks.

Let me know when the gathering is happening and i will hang out and play VF5.

 

Hello all, I recently got VF5 on PS3 with 2 RAP3 sticks. Just litteraly felt in love with the game. However i'm still a good old newbie ;D
