Most unique characters mechanically????

I think all of them are unique, but I always had trouble staying with very few characters, because I prefer to add variety. It balances things out.

 

All are unique, but Shun's uniqueness was the one that stand out for me.

All of them are unique mechanically. Best way to find out for yourself, is to learn to play all of them. I did that in VF4 Evo. That's why I can almost nearly play everyone. And from doing that, I realised I couldn't play Lau, the way you play Lion. Or Lion, the way you play Akira. But Lion Rafale was always a tough character to learn. His style is so strange to use. But when you do learn Lion, he is annoying and pesky as heck to fight against. That's why his nicknames, "whiney," and "pesky," definitely suits him.

 

I mean Shun takes the cake with his janky ass Tekken-like hit box disparity.

Lets get this straight. Wolf typically does more damage in the throw game. But everyone will mostly break 6 forcing you to mainly use the lesser damaging F5. The reason Taka throw game is better is because your eating high damage no matter forward or backward. Thus making Taka's throw game slightly better in that aspect.
