Notice in my praise for the movie, I didn't mention the action [IMG] On that account we agree. Also LBS does not come close to House of Flying Daggers agreed there also. But if UR a Zhang freak like I am, you want her complete body of work [IMG] or her complete body [IMG]

    Blood and Bone.

Michael Jai White does a better Steven Seagal than Steven Seagal ever could.

    Let's talk movies

BlackDragon, Ima check out that Blood and Bone. It's on my Netflix queue.

Meh, I'm bored. I've been watching a lot of movies lately and wanted to share some of my thoughts on them. Please feel free to do the same and share what movies you've watched and if you liked/disliked them. Hell, give it a short review if you like.

    Blind Side
Really good movie. I wasn't expecting it to be that good. Kinda got dragged to it. I'm not really into seeing sappy, feel-good movies on my own. Most of the time I don't like them that much but every once in a while, they end up being great like this one. I put this movie right up there with Forrest Gump, which I also liked very mucho.

    Movies I reccommend:
Wild Things - Oldie, but a goodie. The plot twists and turns are so unpredictable that you will never guess what happens next.

Cocaine Cowboys - Documentary about the cocaine boom in Miami. Crazy, crazy stuff here.

Misery - A classic Stephen King thriller. One particular scene will make you cringe.

Ichi The Killer - Not for the faint of heart. You need a strong stomach and some morbid curiosity to see what happens next to watch this movie.

What About Bob? - Another oldie but goodie. Bill Murray at his best.

See No Evil, Hear No Evil - Classic Richard Pryor/Gene Wilder humor here.

A Clockwork Orange - Crazy. This movie is going on 40 years old and it's still crazy.

Fallen - Very interesting story. I wish they would do a part 2 to this.

The King Of Kong - All VF players should watch this movie.

Can't Hardly Wait - 90's highschool movie but still relevant and funny.

Les Miserables - I was forced to watch this and was thoroughly impressed.

Pan's Labyrinth - I was expecting this to be a kid's movie or something, forgot to look at the rating first. It's rated R and it is crazy in a very good way.

I don't agree with, with the "not for the faint of heart" and "need a strong stomach" parts, the start of the movie might be a bit jarring but the rest of the film is just comical. Also, what is that Ichi n00b doing playing Tekken, he should get on VF!

I also really like A Clockwork Orange and Misery, both great films. I haven't seen many of the other movies in your list, need to check them out [IMG]

Ahhhh here we go, these movies I've watched recently:

Up in the air: Clooney does it again, great movie about life choices.

The Boy in Striped Pajamas: Nazi concentration camp runners befriends a jewish boy on the other side of the camps fence.

AntiChrist: I can't help but recommend this movie if only so that I'm not the only one offended by it. When I say offended I mean it's grotesque and visually stunning. Robert Defoe. Child death, pornography (literal closeup penetrationand genital mutilation) and cannibalism.

44 Inch Chest: If you like old english men being cheeky and using the "C" word every other sentence you'll love it. Me? I already bought the movie a ring. Idea: Wife cheats on old boy with a young buck, causing old boy to flip his lid and call in the good old boys. "Somebodies gonna pay!"

Inglorious Bastards: I'm not a Tarantino fan BUT, Queintin does it again.

The good, the bad, and the ugly: You'll need time to watch this movie, it's old and extremely long especially for it's time. It's all about the characters though.

The Hurtlocker: Powerful war film done in a fashion you've probably never seen before.

Red Cliff: Epic stuff, but not epic enough that I'd want to see it again. Definitely worth seeing once.

The Fall: Awesome, I believe it's one of the best roles I've seen "Encino Man" in yet.

Old Boy: See it, all I have to say. Twisted revenge tale
    Japanese style.

Lord of the Flies (1967) I saw this way back in film school and loved it. It still holds up as innocently disturbing. Remake is imminent.

    Made in Britain (1982)
    Tesis (Thesis) (1996)
    La ragazza del lago (2007)
    Fish Tank (2009)

Also, anything directed by Hirokazu Koreeda. The guy can do no wrong in my eyes. 2 of my favorite movies:

    Nobody Knows (Daremo Shiranai) (2004)
    After Life (Wonderful Life) (1998)
