    Sega and Namco

I think both Namco and Sega both copy off of each other, its not really one sided. Look for instance. Tekken 4 came out. They had Steve Fox(a boxer, unbuttoned shirt with an over the top american name) and they had Jin (blue hoodie, weird fighting technique), and this was the time when Virtua Fighter was released. Everything was good. Months later, Sega comes out with a sooped up version of VF sporting 2 new characters (a boxer, with an extreme american name) Brad Burns and Goh (3 letters like Jin, blue hoodie). So it seems as though they both go through this. Every time Namco comes out with a new Tekken, in fairness has some of the moves in VF, but by the same token, if a Tekken comes out before VF, then theres also moves that Sega took from there. Also, Akira sported a new move in Evo, that was ALREADY in Tekken from Julia. Akiras [G]+[K],[P] string, just FYI. So to say that Namco takes Sega's ideas is kinda biased, when Sega is guilty of it too.

P.S. As far as the color goes, who knows, maybe Japan only has 1 place that does all the art and print of games, and they just turn out all to look the same.

VF4E and T4 both came out about the same time.

Uh, there's no point in comparing release dates of games for a console. If you want compare, look at when they were released for arcade. Huge difference in arcade VF4E and T4.

    cheers,

Sorry, I misstyped. I meant that VF4 and T4 came out at the same time. Both were 8/01 in arcades.

Yeah, Tekken 4 and VF4 both came out at the same time, but T4 already had Jin and Steve already in the game. And months later, Sega comes out with EVO which features 2 new characters almost the exact same as Jin and Steve, as far as design goes.

Every fighting game copied something from another fighting game actually every game unless it's the first in its genre and sometimes even then it probably got something from another game. Namco can say the same about the 8 way run, Capcom can say : hey how come Akira looks like Ryu ? And why does the american guys wear red and have blond hair like Ken ? [2_][3_][6_][P]... If it makes your game better who cares where you got the idea from as long as you don't go around saying you invented it or made it first. Nintendo fans must be pissed off now that every controller has the the R and L buttons analog stick, rumble feature (that's copying RIGHT)... I'm pretty sure they could careless. Sega and Namco have been using each other for INSPIRATION (not copying) for years. Is it a bad thing ? NO !!! I get the same shit on TZ : Sega bad, Sega devil for copying Steve and Jin ! Hate Sega ! Die Yu Suzuki !... Pardon my French but seriously, who gives a fuck ?
