By hating it with my whole heart.

It's the most retarded idea from the most idiotc ideas that they could find in a pile of moronic ideas born to spill MORE MONEY from casual players.

And half of kazuya's animations are from gouki and dudley. Ripped straight.

I'd prefer to watch little seals being killed with a rusty dinner fork than this crap, damn Capcom.

I need a freacking HUGE facepalm icon [IMG]

Hmmm. Ya know, I actually kind of liked that. To me, it looked fun. But maybe this is because I don't like SF or Tekken, so a game that doesn't feel like either will interest me. Something about that video reminded me more of GGXX.

It was barely 'meh' for me... I guess I was just indifferent... plus, that game reeks of a cash cow.

Eh, it looks exactly like SF4 with added Tekkenz, even the font and everything was the same as SF4's.

Yea, it LOOKS exactly like SSF4 (because its using the same engine), but the gameplay style didn't make me think SSF4. Its probably just me.

Or maybe it doesn't feel like SSF4 to me because its not a fireball-spam-fest.

I'm not an SF player and only a very casual Tekken player but I'll never understand the hate and resistance I've seen on this thread.

This is an idiotic idea that is going to "spill" (I assume you mean make take/make) money from a large demographic? What is idiotic about that?

SFIV is lazy. and yet sold well, generated tons of hype/spectators at EVO and is constantly being played on LIVE (from when I had my subscription). Sounds more like Capcom played right to their market but then they announce that 3S is going online and everyone is all about the awesome.

Capcom and Namco are extending their brands in a manner that their consumer seem to like. I hope they do well. I further hope that Sega continues to see their market share dwindle, that they close more arcades, shed more employees and that their flagship title is sold off in pieces to Illusion so that they can finally get some decent sales and be more honest about their costume approach.

I dunno. sounds like a lot of sour grapes in this thread.

This is most absurd thing I hear asserted when people talk about video games. Maybe SF4 didn't come out the way you would have preferred it to be. Maybe it has a bug or two. But there is absolutely nothing "lazy" about it. The team that made SF4 practically lives under their desks.

I agree. This forum is home to the most angry and bitter fighting game fans on the internet. It's sad really.

It may be sad but it makes sense. Fighting games keep getting announced and still no VF, that's bound to get sand in peoples vaginas.

SSF4 is an excellent game. I'm glad they went old school with it, and yet is not so old school that it's static like SF2 Remix.

That said, I don't like 2D fighters anymore, so Capcom's game won't interest me much. I'll probably buy Namco's version, though.

I didn't know Pac-Man is made by Namco? REALLY?!?

I was actually at that panel yesterday, and the crowd was incredibly hyped about pretty much everything that was said. Ono talked about a lot of things which the crowd lapped up, and when Harada showed up, everyone, even me, marked out for SFxT.

I'm not a rabid SF fan, and I don't really like Tekken either, but I believe that Capcom and Namco are doing the right thing. I just think most people here are annoyed that Sega have done shit all outside of Japan to promote their game, and instead of actually being positive about FS, have to resort to slagging off the competition.

I understand your point of view, and you are right, if they are making money from this then good for them. But my point is: they are not even trying anymore. There is no point in making a good competitive game console only, they will ride the hype and call it a day. People will buy this thing at 60 bucks and put it on the shelf after two weeks. then after a month or two they'll make devil ryu and evil Jin DLC just to milk some more.

Obviously the goal of every game is to sell, but it's too easy for them to sell just the brand. I just want to see more good games around, but by now it seems that you just have to crank up the roster with every fictional character created and release the game.

This makes me sad, not capcom and namco makin' money from this game.

Don't Forget you too have an account with this forum. So your just as mad as fuck arguing for SF4 sake. I mean your going ham for no reason. Your sitting in the middle of a VF forum knowing we are uptight because Sega keeps shitting on us. I don't mind playing streetfighter 4 but why settle for that when one of the most complete fighting games on the planet hasn't been announced for anything and its teasing us? At this point in Time Capcom is in the green financially so the can cater to to their large install fanbase..Sega have no clue what they fanbase is because they are not down in the trenches or listening. Regardless of Which i will buy SF vs Tekken cause i love fighters. But the moment VF5:FS drops everything else is null and void.
