lol i JUST saw this thread, so THIS is why jide and then leonard wanted me to try FT on this emu. well it runs smooootth as butter. audio goes out of sync quite a bit and it "skips" for less than a second every now and then. of course the usual background glitches on some of the stages, but other than that it runs 60fps alright. ill make a video soon... (pfff lOL ..seriously , i will )

 

Have you tried VF3 with it?

What kind of specs do you need to run this on a pc?

 

Try and find out for yourself. I would say dual core minimum and at least a geforce 8 series card or higher(equivalent)

The intro runs fine for me besides the audio. Yours freezes up

 

yeah sometimes it happens , sometimes it doesnt. what are your settings in the emu?

Yeah on ayu's clip his doesn't freeze at all either. Sal's PC is beast so it must be a emulator thing.

Could be an ATI/Nvidia thing?

 

Hmm... I think it definitely is an emulator thing. I upgraded a few months back to an HD 5870 and Windows 7, and it seems to run worse. One of the video plugins no longer works (cannot find polygon shader) and it still stutters.

I've noticed it always stutters, even if you have a consistent 60fps. I believe this is because of the the built in framerate limiter - when I record with FRAPS like those old videos, it stays completely smooth.

Oddly enough, I was getting major input lag when I tried to play against Kamais_Ookin while recording a few matches, though it seemed to come on randomly.

 

when you recorded the last fraps video what pc and os were you using then?.

i did speak ro rhe author of the emulator he mentioned that there is a lot of memory rewriting which causes the problem. anybody else that has tried it and doesn't get the freezing issue ?

 

At that time I was using:
i7 920 2.67ghz
6GB DDR3
4890 1GB
Vista X64

The only thing that's changed now is the OS and GPU - I also changed my sound card, but that shouldn't do anything. I'm just wondering when they'll fix the lag on certain levels.

 

Need some people to help test for the online beta!.
You must have a decent PC and you must be able to port forward.
Must be able to follow instructions and SPOD when necessary.
