I think that's kinda harsh. I don't think his whole life is a waste of time for not enjoying a news article. 80 plus years down the drain for a random comment. That sounds like a ridiculous standard...

If Sega were smart, which they are not. They would have made Yu the president of the Sega Company.

Sega was all about innovation only 10 years ago (Burning Rangers, Samba, Shenmue, JetSet, etc...) and now it is just about churning out the latest and poorly made Sonic game.

and when they do have a critically claimed hit like Bayonetta they don't do shit when it comes to marketing.

My mistake... The marketing is only terrible in countries that are not named Japan.

That comment makes me sad because it's true. I miss the old Sega when a new game from them made you excited for it's release.

That said, I enjoyed Sonic Colours quite a lot, but I'm going off topic there.
