    Re: NEW FINAL TUNED INFO

thanks for posting up the info maddy /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif. darn some hefty changes there!

jeffry: wow the change to [2]+[K]+[G] should have a significant impact on his gameplay. this gives his poking game a huge boost, not exactly the kind i was hoping for (was wishing for [6]+[P] or [4]+[K] to become safe on block) but still sounds very helpful.

i don't mind the [4]+[P] not knocking down anymore since it should make the canned followup more useful now and i generally used [4],[3]+[P],[P] for whiff punishing anyway.

airthrow specifics sounds quite balanced, can't wait to see the damage that knee, two jabs, DE into air throw does! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

lau: don't play as him but wow thats some heavy toning down. seems the exisitng canned followups will be highly situation specific now and that new canned followup will become his staple.

sarah: very happy to hear about the toning down of her moves but my primary competition won't be!

leifei: nice, a new multi! sounds great; i like the changes to his IS as well, looks like it will finally allow offense from long range just like DM now (depending on the distance of his new IS roll).

hope some new vids get released soon, already dying to see the game in action.

Thanks for posting the info, maddy!

Just thought I'd share a few more tidbits from the latest test version (thanks to NeoTower).

Kage's TFT is now a hcb command ([6][3][2][1][4][P]+[G]).

Jeffry has a new catch throw from Threat Stance.

Some (maybe all?) characters have more than one move they can change via VF.Net. For example, we know that Wolf can change his Knee, but he can also change his [6][P]+[K] between the (not very useful) Evo Push Attack to some new attack in FT.

Cool. Will both yellow and red counter be +50% dmg?

Damn, those are some big changes - can't wait to see the new and improved goh in actual gamefootage now. Fuck they seem to be adding stuff up to the very last minute on FT btw.

I doubt that these are last minute changes...more likely the flow of information is slow in comming.

Pai's 9k got slowed down, so now she has basically nothing useful after 64P+G? I hope to god her 64 and 46 throws are changable back to their old versions now.

I doubt your doubt (hmm) as it's said to be from the latest test version and someone should have found out by now if Wolf had a 3ppp similar function - it's not like Sega doesn't want people to test new things in FT and keeps them hidden when it's in the balancing phase either. The TFT has changed from 3/4 to 1/2 etc aswell.

Is this a new crouchthrow direction for goh or a standing hitthrow (from roll)? Hmmm.

Looks like Jeffry's going to be a beast, I like the catch throw from threat stance and [2][K]+[G], am2's finally giving him some love. This might make me go Jeffry full time. Can't wait to see a vid.

    Thanks for the info.

This whole new red and yellow counter thing will be very good for Kage. He can still inflict decent damage with his PPbP without as much risk as before. I hope they make SDE cause stomach crumble on RC only...haha

.NOA files are cell movies using the Nancy video codec.

Download a free player for the PC from here: http://www.nancy.co.jp/

Navigate your way to the player download:
English [6] Download [6] For PC [6] Download

Select Yes to the agreement and it's a breeze from there.

The three demo NOA files at the above site are the different opening attract movies from Final Tuned. You'll see some hot shit in there too, so it's well worth the download!

At the end of demo3, I'm pretty sure we see Goh's new triple:

    [6][P]+[K]+[G] - [4][3][P]+[K] - [4][1][2][3][6][P]+[G]

Just a small tidbit, I noticed Goh can choose between his [6][6]+[P]+[G] catch throw from evo and a new move in FT. Maybe later on I'll try to translate some of the clearer stuff. So far this is what I can remember:

    Sarah's 270 damage decrease

Lei gets [3]+[P]+[G], a new throw to replace his old one (which became [3][3]+[P]+[G] as maddy said). Does 45 damage, and you possibly get a free [3]+[K].

Vanessa can choose between the ([G])[8] or [2]+[P] she has now, and a new FT move, "heavy body hook".

    On Goh's throw game:

    new throw - [4][6]+[P]+[G]

    [6][3][2][1][4]+[P]+[G] changed to [8][6][2][4]+[P]+[G]

    [6][3][2][1][4]+[P]+[G] becomes a new throw

    [6][4]+[P]+[G] animation change

ok so that was a little more than a tidbit lol...

    Re: NEW FINAL TUNED INFOR

I just went to Virtua Fighter 4 Final Tuned Location Test!
    Part 2

    6/20
I saw an ad that the location test for FT was being held at High Tech Shibuya and Akihabara Club Sega so I went and checked it out right away.

This time around the FT machines were not in their own part of the arcade but rather lined up next to the Evo machines. They simply had a piece of paper saying "Location Test Machine" on them.

This leaves me to believe that this version is not really a location test at all, but the Version A of Final Tuned. Of course, they were labeled "Location Test Machine" so there is the chance that there will be some changes.

Go ahead and see what I've gathered up to this point.

Being that Lei Fei is my main character, I will just list the new moves for the other characters as I have not delved into them too deeply.

For starters, I'll post what was on the poster in the arcade (Lei Fei info is on another page)

    <><><><><><><><><><><>
    ---------------------------------
ok, i am not gonna translate the names of all these moves, but i will do the notes
    ---------------------------------
    <><><><><><><><><><><>

    Akira
    PK motion changed
33PK (mid), Spins hand and lunges other hand forward
    3PK no change
214PK, High/mid sabaki. Comes out slow. Knocks down on normal hit

    Pai
Looks like she will have more hit-throws and circulars

    Lau
His elbow is annoying, and is his new combo...but it is High, High...
    HIs hit-throw looks cool

    (wolf, jeffry, kage, sarah section)

I don't use these characters and I didn't see much of them so I can't say much. ;(
I do know that TFT was changed from a 270 to 180 motion. Also Jeffry's Front Back Breaker (?) has been made into a 270. Sarah's 6PK, K might be circular.

    (jacky, shun, lion, aoi section)
Sorry, I don't really know these characters either. People were playing too seriously. What is the point of going to the location test and doing knee/punch-throw with Jacky? I wanted to see the new moves more.

    (vanessa, goh, brad)

Yet 3 more characters I don't really know.
I do know a bit about Goh so I'll do what I can to explain his new stuff.
His PK can be used when looking away from the opponent. Don't know what good that'll do...
    66K is knockdown on counter.
43P is a sharp knockdown on counter
    6PKG, no idea
46PG looks similar to another one of his moves

    That is all for now.

It's hard to really say but it feels like the game is a bit faster. i went back and played evo and it felt really slow.

Your opponent can see which move you pick for your Selection Move.

The character select screen has been changed to what you see below. Once you select your character his photo zooms up and your data is displayed.

You can simply update your Evo card. Once you do, though, it can no longer be used in Evo machines.

When you register online you get two new options on VF.net, "Touri-mei Settings" (this should be the "play style" we have heard about) and "move select". If you do not register your card you cannot choose the Selection Move. I tried selecting a Touri-mei but it didn't appear on the display. There is also a new advice screen.

Quite naturally the demo sequence changed. I took these videos on my phone, and as I am an idiot I do not know how to change the video format to AVI or MPG. (If you know how please let me know!)

Youll need to download some software to play the videos (PC only). Right click on the links and select save as to see them.

The sound isnt too distinguishable so feel free to keep it off.

The new character select splash screen is pretty cool.

Any obvious visual changes to the stages?
