Hi Charlie and welcome to VFDC!! What part of Long Island are you in? There are some very good players in NYC. I don't know when the next gathering will be but you should try to make it to one of those someday! I'm from New Jersey, btw.

Also, do you have an Xbox? If you currently do, I suggest buying an Xbox version of the game. The PS3 and Xbox versions of VF5 are different with the Xbox version being the current one (ver. C) along with ability to play online.

Hi. I'm Tuomas and I'm new here. I've liked fighting games since I got my hands on Tekken 3 but for some reason I had never played any VF game until about a year ago when I got VF5 and I loved it. Due to school, however, I didn't have time to play it seriously but now I have all the time I need so I'm trying to get better.

My mains are Goh and Wolf and sometimes I mess around with Akira. My level is still that of a beginner but I'm getting better. The funny thing is that even though I've had the game for a year I've never played it online because I get the feeling that I have to be stronger than what I'm now and also because I'm somewhat scared of the lag and I don't know if there are that many Scandinavian people playing the game.

Okay, so I'm not new really new to the forums or to VF but I haven't posted here often so I thought it best to add myself to the thread...

I've been into VF3TB mostly, then caught sight of the excellent VF4 Dojo guides that used to be up and finally got into that game, now that a friend has VF5 on 360 I'm finally onto that title as well. I play Jeffry and Pai although I since I'm used to the VF4 counterparts I figure its best not to play them in VF5 until I learn everything new they've received (seems they are pretty similar to the VF4:EVO versions, basically, which I haven't played all that much) and am working on my new character Eileen.

I still play VF4 and VF3 though and upload these to my youtube frequently.

    Hey everyone, I'm PinkCrayon!

Rather new to VF, (VF5 is my first game of the series), I have to say it has a lot more depth than some of the other fighters I've played.

Am from Ontario, (near Toronto) and one of the main reasons I joined this forum is to hopefully find some people to play with o.o; I haven't even seen a Virtua Fighter arcade machine yet so if anyone knows some good arcades / cyber cafes / um.. place, hook me up yooooo D:!

Still trying to decide whether I am an Eileen or Lion player - I like characters that are quick and agile, and can keep my opponent in a guessing game so I guess either of those two pretty much suit me.

Anyway, hoping to make a few friends here and hopefully get some matches setup. I own the PS3 version of VF5 (I don't have a 360) so getting with others is kind of tough for me; especially since most of my friends play FPS / RTS games and are generally a lot more casual than I am in terms of gaming. Sooo, drop me a PM or something I guess if you know any good arcades or cyber cafes or even VF tournaments / VF conventions around Toronto (I live in Markham).

New to VFDC, but have been playing fighters for the past 6+ years (really hard to keep track, I remember starting during grade 10 and it hit my grades pretty hard ;P). Primarily play T5:DR but lately I've become more interested in VF5 and SF:3S and play whenever able.

I understand typical notations, etc across the range of games I do play and have a decent knowledge of the VF series technical stuff such as fuzzy gaurd, throw breaking, BnB combos, bait whiffs, throw setups, etc

I primarily play Goh atm, but in the past dabbled in Brad and Jacky.

I currently live in Toowoomba Queensland which is around 150km from Brisbane or anyone half decent at VF for that matter ;(

Hey VFDC. I'm Kyle, or Kotowaru on Xbox Live. I'm new here to VFDC, but no where near new to Virtua Fighter. I've been playing Virtua Fighter ever since I was 8 years old when I saw Virtua Fighter in the arcades. Everyone was crowded around the cabinet with amazement in seeing a 3D fighting game. Everything about it was so new and different from anything we ever seen. I remember playing it for the first time against my friend, and I beat him in the first round and it said K.O. We turned to each other and said "K.O.? What the heck is that?" I wanted a Sega Saturn and Virtua Fighter. VF was the only game on Saturn that I wanted, until VF2 came out. VF cabinets cost me more money than I can count but VF is a huge part of my childhood and is the reason why I love fighting games. All my friends compete in Halo and other FPS which is cool and all but nothing beats the rush of 2 people in the ring dueling it out. Like I tell the FPS kids, "I may suck at Halo Multiplayer but meet me in a VF ring and your gonna need a body bag."

I'm always looking for new people to fight with which is becoming harder to do, and I'm hoping to change that here at VFDC. Most of the people I know who like video games hate VF, and the main reason for the hate is because they can't play it, which is why I feel that VF players are the best when it comes to fighting games.

If you feel like setting up some matches, toss me a request.
And as for characters I use, I mostly play with Brad, Lion, and Shun.

Hi, I'm new to VF5. I'm from the netherlands and my friend masterpasje got me hooked on this game. Atm I'm trying to master El Blaze, getting better at it every week. Hoping to best my friend in the near future.

I've played a few fighting games in my time (Tekken, Street fighter, DOA), but none stick as much as VF. In time I hope to be beating everyone I meet, but for now... Laterz

Hello everyone. I'm also new to VF5. I've been playing player matches online on the xbox360 and getting my ass handed to me. I've been trying out Brad, and getting a little bit better as it goes.

I'm a QLD player as well, although I pretty much exclusively play VF4 evo since thats when our very limited scene in the gold coast died. I can still very much hold my own in 5 however but I don't know any specifics and anyone with a good knowledge of the game (myke for example) can beat me down for free.

The qld scene is very dead though, I can count the players on one hand, and afaik none of them still actively play.

Hey I'm new here. I use mainly Jacky and Sarah, as you've learned from ny username, but I use Pai and Lau too . The first fighting game I played was Tekken 4, then Soulcalibur, but never tried VF because I heard people say its a rather difficult game. I've got VF5 on PS3 so no online play. VF5's the first VF game I've played and I love it.

Hello, I am Ughil and I am a relatively newer VF player as VF5 is the first one I've played in the series.

I've always been a fan of fighting games however. Look for me online in player matches, as I'm always looking for new opponents.
I play as El Blaze and Brad.
