I second Tony's thoughts. We had some fun games already, too. Hope you stay awhile.

BigBoyyoaz used to be my name here at one time. I used Jeff in VF4 and figured why not.

I remember your BigBoy handle. I thought it was you but I wondered why would he create a new username? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

Hopefully my son can use it. But its just funny when you play peeps and they dont recongnize you. Theyll come with anti noob tactics, they notice you dodging attacks and 'then' when you break a throw the whole game changes. But really Ive created 4 profiles so that I can really see my win percentage with all the characters that I use. But its fun too!

Hi there. After almost a year of sneaking around here, well maybe more if you count in the itemlist of VF4evo. I finally decided to join the community. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Although I still have VF5 only on my ps3, Im tempted of taking my skills online with the 360 some day. but the xboxcontroller being what it is, I would need a stick for it to be even playable. ^^

I just got this game 5 days ago. I love it, Being a tekken master and very good at mortal kombat i was under the impression i would quickly learn this game. I have the basics but the eteg stuff will take some time:) i played the 1st vf and didnt like it but this is the best fighter i have played. Anyways i dont have xbox live to play online and i mostly play with one friend who plays shun di.

The AI on the xbox how good is it? Say i play in quest mode on hard and i fight a paladin or something how far off is that from top competition play (granted i understand human opponents are something diff). im saying if i could hold my own on hard diff with a paladin am i doing pretty well? or should i play on very hard to get as close to a hard human opponent? Like is the AI on very hard too good? do some top players have a hard time with the AI on very hard or is it is pretty much business as usual?:)

I play brad and jeff for right now as i like KIng & bruce in tekken i know wolf is the wrestler but ill get to him later /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    thanks for all replies... EQ

Hey, EQ, welcome! Don't know if you know this but you can make the cpu even harder by putting the quest setting's difficulty level to expert. That's a little bit closer to top level play but it still doesn't compare to the kind of heat that a top player can bring.

If you haven't already, try to get your free month of xbl membership and you might get to see it for yourself. But online VF is still less intense than offline VF depending on the connection.

There's a few tutorial vids out on youtube, you just have to use the search feature. Also, there's a lot of helpful advice in the Dojo section of the forums, broken down for each individual character. Search feature here is in the bottom righthand corner or you could just click on Forums List - Dojo - and then the character that you're interested in learning about.
Have fun, hope to see you online in the future.

IMO the AI fights nothing like good human players.
It's worthwhile practice for someone new to the game, but the beauty of VF for me is observing how my opponent reacts to what I am trying to do to him and then taking advantage of him for reacting in that fashion in the future. The AI cannot be conditioned to react in a certain fashion at a specific time... it doesn't remember what you've done to it in the past.

Hi all, I've been a big fan of VF since the first one back in the mid 90's...the game actually inspired me to learn 3D Animation, I now make a living as an 3D Generalist/ VFX Compositor.

I've got VF5 now, but seem to have some trouble finding online games, seems to take so long just to find some matches. So hopefully coming here and meeting you guys and gals will help me improve my game. Please add me to your friends list for some matches, XBL GT: GoaFunkA

it seems the AI responds to what im doing. or maybe im just trippin..say i evade alot the AI starts to grab me or do circular moves. I guess humans are creatures of habit but humans can adapt:) i wish i could play online as i know there is nothing like another person thinking and challenging you. it seems very hard(highest diff) in arcade mode is easier than expert(highest diff) on quest these freaking paladins and vanquishers givin me a hard time i give them a run but they defend well when the energy is low:)

cant wait to play online to see how i really stand.ANyone know whats a good arcade stick for this ?

Humans are different than A.I. in that they are either on your level, 5 steps ahead, or just fukin stupid.

    Hey everyone
I bought VF5 for 360 last week and I'm really enjoying it... Mainly working through Quest Mode and the dojo, trying to learn the system. I never realized how complicated this game is, it's quite intimidating at first. I guess practice and patience are the best methods.

First of all welcome to VFDC. Sorry i could not of been more help to you as i cannot use Shun /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

But thankfully you have came to the right place. Here you can view Shuns command lists/combo lists here. Also you may wish to view the forums for Shun. Either way by using the shout box you will be able to find a good Shun sparring partner.

You mentioned you were not getting many games online, thats just because street fighter 4 is just out. Everybody seems to be away experimenting on that game. See ya online bud!
