No more Dural PLEASE !!!

Like some of the other people have said. Dural is NOT a boss character. You beat the game regardless even if you do not beat her. Dural is sort of a 'bonus' stage that tests your skills against a character who defies the rules of the game. (To an extent) The 'boss' characters in other games are not really anything special. Almost all of them are playable just like any other character and do not present the same amount of threat like Dural does. Would you like it better if AM2 made Dural even more unfair? It's possible for Dural to get excellent every round, but what fun would it be? She presents a real challenge the way she is right now (Although ver C AI is rather dumb..), but just wait till you fight her in evo.... Have fun getting utterly beat by a character that's superior to your's in EVERY way. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

 

SNK always made the nastiest bosses IMO ! They were hardcore difficult to beat and great char. design. I say morph Dural back to normal into Kage's mom and make her a playable char. with her own style and make a new boss with flair. Other option would be to have no boss, get Dural back to normal and stage it as a random tourney with brackets and increasing AI strength as you go until the finals where the opp. is MAD skilled ( Better than those punk ass High Kings... )

 

Dural is SCARY good in Evo, so good that only few people can beat her legit.

The rest of us mortals just exploit the AI bugs.

 

Ok, now I understand. You're talking about the gameplay aspect, and that's fine, I agree. But I'm talking about the story aspect as well as the gameplay. C'mon wouldn't it be cool to have a bad guy like the one in Shenmue.
I also totally agree, about bringing Taka back. But I don't think that bosses have to be unbalanced, just make a tougher AI.

I can't even get my dog to sit down, so you don't want me to make a tougher ai, but AM2 can do it, they did it for evo. Besides, even if the boss is not too hard to beat, so what who cares, as long as he's a balanced character that I can use in vs mode.

 

How about we get the head of J5, 6, or whatever to fight against...that would make more sense....

Why dont they just put taka as the boss.

 

They should go the route that SFZ and Z2 took and have character-specific bosses. Like, Goh could fight Akira and Akira could fight Wolf, etc. It'd be a bit more interesting. You could then have Dural as like a sub-boss or something.

 

Personally, I dig Dural. I enjoy fighting against her, everything from her insane movelist to the cool metallic noise that she makes when you hit her fits together. Sure, she has no personality, but that only makes her more frightening. Take a look at Jason from Friday the 13th, or any other faceless butcher type. No personality, but scary as shit. Same thing with Dural. When she comes at me with the triple flipkicks or the triple YAH combo, I feel warmth seeping down my leg. Creepy, heartless, steel bitch. That's true terror.

She is a heartless bitch, and she scared the hell out of me when I first saw her in VF4. If anything, I'd like her to have costume stuff of her own, like metallic armor or something.

 

She is made of metal or is it liquid metal (Seen the history footage in VF3tb) she doesnt need armour.
