I've had a ago at a few of the games Andy but not really that many.

I texted Mye the other day too to see if he can get the saturday 29th off from work and make the tourney so I'll wait to hear from him.

Incidentally, to let everyone know, I'm planning a trip down to London sometime with Will, Ade and Dan in Feb to check out FT when they have it. atm it is only the 4 of us but if more want to come we could try and arrnage something all together, just a thought.

Hope everyone has a sick 2005 (in terms of VF!) and has a ball tonight.

Hey all,

quick update. Got in touch with Mye and he can really only ever make sundays...so I'm proposing to do the 29th-30th Jan, saturday to sunday if anyones up for it. It'd give everyone a chance besides me and Ade to play Mye and more importantly, a chance for Mye to play more than 2 others (his Wolf and Lau can be very nice).

Just letting all y'all know I'm back now.

Ade, I picked up Sarah full time now, and I really enjoy playing her (more than J+J).
I only seem to have one problem; what is the timing for the low hit throw from flammingo, coz I have tried fastest timing, I have tried it just as it hits and just after it hits, but it doesn't work much. any help?

Shaun, the timing on the Sarah hit throw is to press P+G as her leg is at her lowest. Also try learning the timing by doing it from as far away as possible (I know it sound's wacky!). Listen for the noise of the leg connecting.

Andy:
I agree about BK UA+K with kage, seriously good. Another good tactic is to jump over your opp. after a DF+P+G do it then (Normally reserved after you have abused JM K+G_P+K+G!).

By the way, Mye battered the crap outta me with his Wolf and Lau and watch out for his Brad (Yes, Brad!). Watch this space, he's been practising and kicking my ass all over the shop!

I have another question: What can I do after using the low punch sabaki from Flamingo?
I have tried all the moves from the stance but they either miss or are too slow. Is anything guarenteed or not?

Andy, I played a few of the arcade games but I don't really like them much, the only ones I don't mind are that one where you have to duplicate those little balls and of course, Space Invaders! (but the highest score on that is ridiculous.)

DF+P,K is guaranteed I think after the low punch sabaki.

I didn't think that it would reach, coz the opponent is on the floor, quite far from Sarah.....
Is anything guarenteed after + from flamingo lands on a crouched hit (staggers) if the opponent doesn't stagger out of it very fast, or is anything guarenteed, even if they do stagger quickly?

Again df+p,k is a good option (but not guaranteed).

In FT, a counter hit FL df+k crumple stuns!

Yeah it is. FL + Sabaki > + > + > (67 dmg) is the normal thing to do and works on all weights (needs a small delay for heavies on the + part). If you ever mess up and + pure air (opponent does nothing) try doing a >throw or on reaction. It's highly annoying.

Shaun, do you have any tips on the toreno flying missions (after flying school is done)? BTW I'm stuck on the first one (where you have to keep under a radar). Cheers.

Just a note about the next meet...

Can the Leeds guys get transport home ok on the Sunday? I tried checking times on qjump the other day and I couldn't get any info from it at all. Just thinking it might be best for a few local players (and possibley Dan) to stay over on the saturday at mine and then for the Leeds guys to come on the Sunday. Or we could have the Leeds guys come on the saturday night and stay and the locals come around on the Sunday or something.

I wouldn't really be able to accomodate more than 3 peeps in my room on the Saturday night but I would like to hold a 2 day / day and a half meet if possible.

If anyone has any ideas feel free to bring them up.

Ade, I found out a really cool (but cheap) strategy for keeping under the radar; if you go directly WEST from the aircraft graveyard (where you start, it should also be the direction you take off in), then you will rezch the sea! now you can just fly along the coast line SOUTH. I can remember if this takes you all the way to where you need to be, but if it doesn't, then there should be a big lake thing that gets you even closer to where you are going. (I can't remember exactly what the mission is, or where you need to go, but this is the way I did it). Just look at your map before you start the mission, Find where it is you are supposed to be going and trace the lowest flight path out to sea (WESTERN SEA), then you can just follow the sea toy your airport. now that you have done this you can just follow this route from the airport to your destination.

No we haven't abandoned going to London, I'm just waiting till FT is definately put in (which should be Feb I hear).

I think most of the regulars will be at the next meet, possibley one or two new faces and Mye, who you've never played before.

My mate told me the same strategy. I was stuck on that mission for ages. Shaun, I still can't recruit gang members, what are the EXACT buttons to press?

Chris, SH4 is much better than people think (although a bit short).

For anyone who's interested, here are the 'result's of me and mye's casual fights last night:

Mye: Lau v Slim: Kage 10-6
Mye: Lau v Slim: Jacky 6-10
Mye: Wolf v Slim: Sarah 3-10
Mye: Wolf v Slim: Kage 6-2

They were just casuals. Mye want's to know who'll be there on Sunday, so post if your just coming on Saturday and NOT Sunday please.

Regarding games, could you get US or JAP Capcom ighting Jam/Evolution (whatever it's called), and Samurai Spirits Zero. PM me if you know of any other good new games, I'm a bit busy at work /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Ade, it should tell you thie buttons in the manual, but i am sure that you just stand next to one of your gang members and press either up, down, left or right (can't remember which). you cant recruit every member, and you have a maximum limit too. keep trying and it will eventually work. look at a FAQ for more help if you still can't get it to work.
