    LOL

No, I can't make this saturday as I've a mate coming up from lpool in the afternoon...he wants to see some of manchester and is then going to some all night rave up or something in the academy until 4 in the morning (he's well into dance music and dj-ing) then he's coming back to mine for the night...so I won't be there sat but I hope to go next saturday to meet all the heads.

    Bigada bigada bong

Fare enough. I don't know if I'll be able to make it myself this weekend. I ain't feeling too crash hot. Might rinse my RAP at home and master some mishima combo's for the following week. We'll have to see.

Are you still up for Sunday?

    Sun/Fun-day

Yeah, Sunday's fine, may try and get Phil and Umer round again...or might not and just stick to playing some VF and Tekken with you dunno yet...either way is good for me.

btw, you know your RAP box? It's bigger than the box the Xbox comes in!

    Re: Time to RAP

My profile is a little out of date. I do play Akira, just not very well, and I started a file up with Wolf, but got bored of his small moves list.

As for the stick, I have just given £100 to my friend who has the relevent credit card/s to order it, so when it clears I will be getting a RAP. (they better be good Ade, or you are for it!).

Chris, thanks for the cost break down, I'll make sure that I have £30 with my friend so that the UPS man gets paid.

Hope to meet up again in a month or two, after I am practiced with my stick.
Chris, just remember, 'even good guys blow it'!

you payed £100 for a stick?

damn aint you heard of it being marked as a "gift" item???

haha, i also find it funny when i hear storys of a £90 charge when people got a import psp, the damn shipping company charges you VAT on the import price and not the actual value of the item in japan, so insted of it being 24% import charge of a £100ish psp, they get charged the percentage of what the website charged, haha, and the delivery guys also put a charge of their own on top of that (for paying the vat) so if the stick was only $80 thats like only £43, how the hell do you pay over double for it???

maybe theres a new lesson to sign up for, its called economics

    Re: Bigada bigada bong

Thing is, I really want the stick, and I can't be assed haggling over a poxy £20!
I would much rather just pay the asking price and get the damn thing here. I don't know enough about shipping, or VAT or anything related to the subject, and I expected to pay well over £100 for the stick anyway.....

wow someone whos actually okay with paying £100 for a stick

thats like 3 ring outs for the importers:)

all i know is that sammy stick and evo stick only cost like £20 in japan

the rap cant be that much over, why dont u get someone to send you one from japan as a "gift"

The RAP is a thing of natural beauty and worth every penny. I know it's TOO expensive, but if your gonna get a stick, get the best LOL.

Played Mye for the first time in ages last night, his Lau was kicking my ass from pillar to post.

Shaun, when are you due to get the stick?

The only problem is, I think the stick weigh's more than you, so try not to end up huntchbacked! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Trust me Shaun, there's no point buying any other stick, aside from getting a custom built one, this is the next best thing IMO of course. It's SO good for stepping, you won't believe it!

    Good!

I have just about reached my limit on a pad, and I am sick to death of doing a side kick or an EVADE instead of a dragon cannon! (which means that instead of punishing moves that are -16 on block with a meaty dragon cannon, I either get a measly 20 points of damage, or end up doing a failed evade and becoming disadvantaged!). Annonying...........

Is the thing really THAT big?

P.s. it cost me £75.00 for the stick (including shipping), so I still have £25 left. Will this be enough to pay the delivery guy that fee that Chris mentioned?

P.p.s. have any of you guys ever played FF7, coz I am playing it for the first time and I have a few basic questions, but I don't wanna clog upthe thread, so I figured we could do it through PM (assuming someone has played it.).

You can ask me pretty much anything about FF7, I remember playing it to death when it came out, easily the best FF IMHO. Have you faced the underwater weapon yet? The best boss in any game for my money.

haha, this is prob the fact as it was the 1st FF game you played???

people who say FF7 was the best when at the same time there was Panza saga really didnt know what they was talking about.

anyways i gave up RPGs a long time ago, better watching 25 films then playing a game for 40hours plus, but hey if the storys good....

also i hope the stick is for more then just VF,

i mean you could of gotten a red VF evo stick from gamefocus for £45, and im sure to send it up north would be £5, so that would of been half of what u spent.

kinda reminds me of when i see people who have spent £120 for the latest nike air max, when u can get them for £45 online!

    Re: The journey begins here!

I know the stick was expensive, it's not something I would do every month, hell even once a liftetime! LOL. I bought the stick for Tekken as well (I'm a avid Tag/Tekken 5 player as well as VF) and it's really good for them as well (I.E. Great for Wavedashing with Mishimas as an example). Actually, last time I was in London in Gamefocus I managed to get a hori stick for a Saturn for £35, but I couldn't resist, great for SF Alpha 1,2 and VF 2 of course!

    Re: The journey begins here!

OK, like I have said before, I don't really know much about where to get sticks from, which are the best one's or what I should expect to pay. I got the RAP soley for VF, I don't play any other fighting games.

As for FF7, as the moment I am only on the first disc, so I haven't fought any Weapons yet. So far I think I am ok, I used a few FAQS to answer some questions (I was mainly wanting some information on Limits).

    FF7

The FF7 "weapons" are very similar to the dark aeons from FF10 (I think you've seen/fought them right?) but they won't come into it for a while...plus you need to work real hard on your chars stats to stand a chance of beating them (as usual).

LOL with all these RAP players now, I'll need to move into a bigger room for tourneys! haha.
