I wonder if Chris could house us for some games at his? I finally get to see someone with the same stick as me. The only thing is, the Tekken 5 final is in April, and I me and Chris (I think) are defo going, although the date of the final hasn't been announced yet!

Feckin heck its been ages since Ive been here have been ill as fuck. Can i get peoples opinions on MGS3? I started playing it a few months ago and have only just go to the end cos i stopped playing it. Far too many wanky bits in it for my liking. especially playing that stupid sniper boss-what an old tit. Whens the next meet? have been playing more with Lion but either way my Lion will always rule my play when in competition. What u all up to? (Yes i expect no response from everyone from this but what the heck)

Well, Dan, I have been playing a lot of Tekken 5 (I won the regional in Manchester and I'm in the final in London in April, so have to train for it!). But I'm still loving Kage and Sarah to death (Playing a guy near me called Mye who's from China uses Wolf/Lau, Very good!). Hope Chris can organise a VF meet ASAP, need to get back into VF!

MGS3 is good, but how much unneccesary talking is there in it? I STILL haven't completed it (hardly played it TBH) but like all the customization you can do in it (camouflage, dissenfecting your body, killing animals for food etc) but still think MGS1 is the best so far. I still miss Snatcher on the Mega CD (Hideo Kojima made it I think before MGS) , wonder if you can get it (and Policenauts) for the PS2? Does anyone know?

Ade: It's always funny to hear peeps talk about the talking/conversations in MGS2 or MGS3 etc but they never seem to recall MGS was FULL to the brim of stuff like that. You could sit holding your pad for 10 mins as they story is told to you in Codec/Cut scenes.

Just go and play the opening sequence again and see how much talking there is to it. There's piles and piles. AND it continues thru the whole story like that. It's all important IMHO, sets the mood, enriches the story, gives you something to fight for etc etc

MGS1-3 all have huge elements of talking/story telling in. When I think of MGS, I think of Boss battles, stealth (obviously!), epic story line and a huge end fight with a fucking huge walking tank that's the way the MGS series has always been.

I think MGS3 is awesome, some tricky boss battles (I'm currently on *** **** at the very end but only got there around 11 last night and needed to be up early so only played it a bit before hitting the sack) and some slightly annoying side features (if you continue after you've died, when you've been in one area for ages and done loads of things, you have to re do it all!) but the graphics, story, depth of gameplay and just those "little touches" make up for any short comings (I think there are a few small short comings of the game but I'm prepared to overlook them as it's such a class package).

Can't wait to try doing the extreme mode...it'll serve nicely as a warm up to the most anticpated game of my life (been waiting 6 years for the follow up to RE2 with Leon in)...RE4!!!

Check out itv at 11-11.30 tonight and you may see me on it answering the door to a couple of busies and letting them into Langdale to investiagte a complaint in one of the rooms in my building!

MGS3 is a very good game, I don't think I've put enough time into it TBH (Practising T5 too much LOL), but think the series as a whole is extremley good.

I also can't wait for Res Ev 4, it's out on March 18 in the UK (A day before my 25th Birthday! Damn I feel old! /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif). That game will be rinsed to death, I've heard so many good thing's about it, and LEON'S BACK! I'm surprised I've not got it on import TBH, but it's only 8 days away, so it ain't that bad.

u can hit Optimus for a copy of snatcher, and just run in on a pc emu like Gensist

i have the UK original and a usa copy

and i have jap ps1 policenaughts

the saturn version is better out of the 32bit snatchers and policenauts, un censored and box set of policenauts!!!

but the 3do version has diferent cut seans

i think olly copyed mine so u can hit him up 4 it

Finished MGS3 last night, the end is freaking awesome (but the final battle can become a bit irratating if your shooting skills aren't up to it, even tho it's one of the most amazing set pieces in the game) unlocked european extreme but won't be challenging it juts yet, will get hard and extreme done first methinks (game ends when your spotted as usual!).

Umer rang me last night as he was going to TC but don't think he went in the end, said he wanted to go if me and you were going but didn't know if you were (I couldn't, have no money!)

Oh and that bloody prog wasn't on in the end looks like it was dropped for some Redcap shit.

Naah, didn't go in the end, went to the gym instead. I'm going tomoz (Sat) from 11.30 til 5.

I've tested a lot of stuff on Tekken 5 last night, I'll try and type it up in word if I get time, although I wanna retest a few thing's against y'all on Sunday, some strings seem too good to be true.

Wanna complete MGS soon as well, before RES EV4 next friday! /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yeah, I think the only way I'll be able to afford RE4 on day of release (which is essential of course lol) is to trade in GTA:SA with some other stuff...it's been a great game I've been playing for the past 4 months or so but if necessary I'll have to sacrifice it for a copy of RE4!

Getting rid of SA? Ooh, I don't know if I could do that!

Although, RES EV4 is meant to be REALLY GOOD. I'll have to buy another memory card, I hope there are some deals going for a memory card and the game for say 50 quid or something, 1 week to go!

Yeah I dont' mind sorting you out, Snatcher is a great game imo, storyline atmos etc. Havn't tried Policenauts yet, language barrier kinda off putting with text heavy games.

Shaun, have you done MGS3 yet? Started European Extreme? As ever, it's totally ott.

Oh and if you haven't done, start a new game but say "I like MGS2" (if you haven't) as the intro is hilarious and explains why you have the mask if you say "I like MGS1".

No days told me last night, he doesn't even like the series, but 4 looks so good to him, he want's to start playing. I wish I had more time to play VF/Tekken/MGS and Res Ev 4, I'm either at fucking work/gym/on the piss.

Me and Shaun have both moved. Me to Texas and Shaun to Blackburn, so not much difference eh?

Obviously this means I wont be coming to any meetings or anything until I come back (not sure when that's gonna be yet).
