Wow, hey Andy. Maybe you could try meeting up with some of the guys over there from VFDC...I think there's a few in texas a least.

I'll def be holding a meet after easter as the scene def needs one (I'm 100% NOT letting it die out!).

BTW Yeah, totally forgot about VF players in Texas, maybe we should look around for Andy, don't think he has that much time to look around on t'internet for fellow VFers!

I sent him a pm. This country is so damn big though that it looks like I'll be travelling a long way to play.

I'm meant to be going to california in May though and I know there's a scene there.

I know California has a huge Tekken scene, although there should be some VFers there as well, maybe ask in some of the US threads?

Andy, as long as you make it to any VF meets there at all (arranged by the guys from here) I think the standard would be pretty hot...even just casual media of players posted on here looks good.

And hey, seen as tho you're over that side of the world, you could try and get to evo2k5, that would be amazing, probably bump into Ryan again if you did.

Ade, LOL, went round to gamestation 10.01 on fri morn (opens at 10) got my copy of RE4 (said £29.99 on tag) traded in 4 games to get it n guy tells me I'll get £31 for em...but then scans in RE4 and says it SHOULD be £37.99! But, because it was the stores fault, he let me off with the £31 trade in prcie, so I got £7 quid off the game cos I was first to get it! Well top.

I was supposed to have uni 10-5 on fri but after that I thought.......naaah, borrowed my mates GC and caned it all day, absolutely amazing game, a perfect game to rival MGS3 and a superb sequel to RE2 so far. Totally awesome game.

But please remember anyone else who's playing it atm, don't post spoilers on the story ... try and keep that sort of talk to PM and ask things before you spoil! Cheers.

Oh and happt bday Ade man! Old man, 25 years young!

Yeah I was thinking about getting to evo myself actually.

My level's gonna drop though unless I can get something out of quest mode. Seems like there's no players in texas.

 

RES EV4

What a game RE4 is. On chapter 4-2, still on the 1st disc! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Up there with RE2 IMHO, and I've still not completed it! Love the MGS style gameplay added, plus the 'tune up' element. It's all about Firepower and Reload Speed tune up's IMHO, but that's why it rocks, so many 'style's of play can be used.

At first I thought there'd be 5 chapters...but now I'm guessing 10, 5 on each disc, we'll have to see.

Gra[hics are awesome, ai is incredible new features are ace weapons are topdog...shotgun from RE remake...it does feel like a true succesor to RE2 as well as that had customisations in a similar vain.

Oh and that's why you can't reload from the attache case ade, reload is a statistic so doing it from the attache case is like "cheating" ie, if you could do it, you'd never buy reload upgrades!

Reloading fast is essential IMHO, although firepower is more important (ESP. 15 strength MAGNUM! /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif). The Riot Shotgun is a kickass weapon as well.

I hope there's 5 chapter's on each disc, although I doubt it!

Fought the wolverine dude yet? (You actually fight him twice, the 2nd time in a much harder area!).

Yeah fought mr wolverine...then proceeded to have multiple heartattacks in the next big "section" as it were...the Merchant's sub mission is awesome, have 4 bottle tops so far and am maxing out Riot Gun seen as though I always rely on the trusty shoties for most RE games.

I recommend tuning up the TMP, you always seem to have a lot of ammo for it IMO.

I agree about the big chamber after that dude, (where the guys come from the middle and left AND right!). Died a few times doing that section.

What do the bottle tops do?

When you get 6 bottle caps (in one row) you get money...there are 4 sub missions to play, each with 6 caps to win. Go for the heads for maximum points!

I didn't die on that section and Ashley didn't get carried away at all but I ended it with 2 handgun bullets 15 TMP bullets and 2 rifle bullets left...after being well stocked in the beginning!!

It was an awesome set piece but like I said, gave me a few heartattacks! Especially when you're re loading and some guy with a sythe or mace tries to smack your head off!
