Anyways, yeah Shaun I see what you mean, just being stuck in a boring 9-5 job would be hell for me. As for the meet, will have to see and get back to you but for now count me as a "probably not" I'm afraid.

Ade, started a RS Chris game myself, forgot how awesome the game is, it's so good, especially on the harder levels!

Got DMC3 at the weekend, very cool game(got £1 for strading in EX2 plus!!! LOL), more like DMC than DMC2 (i.e. more gothic places to explore as opposed to a weird town place tho I did still like DMC2), looks like there's an even harder version of the game:

Ok the date is set for 28 May. This gives plenty of time to get yourselves organised to come down. Let me know as soon as you can whether you will be coming/which day it will be/whether you want to stay the night e.t.c.
P.s. Ade, I really hope that you can make the meeting, you have improved much since the last time the guys in Scotland played you, so I am curious to see how well you do against them.

Next meet

Well I've just double checked my exam timetable and I have an exams on the 20th, 23rd, 26th May and the 1st and 3rd June so I'm afraid I just can't give up the saturday (28th) between 2 of my exams as I really need it for some hardcore revision. I'm moving back to Liverpool on the 4th June too.

At this moment in time I'm afraid I'm pretty certain I won't be coming.

Ade, maybe Scott, Mye (even Das?) may go up with you (if you're going?)?

Don't worry about getting refused entry to club's. On my bday, I didn't get into 2 clubs 'because our group was too big'. Fucking bouncers. Other reasons I've had before: wrong shoes, wrong shirt, too drunk, no 'student id' (even though it wasn't needed), too late, too early etc etc.

Yeah, thing was they had big fuck off signs sating STUDENT ID and yet Denise got in fine to see if any of my mates were in there and she's not even a student.

Aah, bouncers in Manchester. They really are bastard's. I was in the queue for Walkabout on Saturday night. A 'classy bird' behind me was puking everywhere, but somehow got in! It's a double standard, that's for sure.

Onto VF, I've been rinsing Sarah again, mastering the timing of the Flamingo d+k hit throw (it's slightly different for every move that goes into flamingo, due to distance) and am 're studying' her frame data. Forgot how much of a skank she is that department as well (her flamingo d+k is 'only' -6 on block, not even throw counterable, so you can reverse nitaku with FLf+k+g for throw attempts after it's blocked! Chamone).

I don't know exactly who is coming, everyone seems to be holding out to see who else is coming. Kain will definately be there, as will I. I think that, if you put your name down as well, then Li and Graeme will come down too. I think that those numbers should be enough to ensure a decent, but not over-sized meeting.
Ade, just let yourself go and put your name down man, you and I will be able to play all night anyway, as well as Kain being there, so even if it is us three, it will be a good hardcore session.
Think about all the time that I have spent travelling from Leeds, compared to that, Darwen is only round the corner! (£5.00 at the most on the train!).

yeah thats why i stopped going to legal clubs. Yeah i know the underground party/rave scene aint for everybody but hey at least you never get any hassle from security. usually theyre the ones that help you get out of your trip if your tripping REALLY bad. Fortunately for me i take my shit in moderation
and always have a bang out time.

LOL, I don't do 'drugs'. If it ain't beers/cigs, I don't touch it! I ain't dissing that lifestyle though, it's just I've had some bad experiences (example: last year in amsterdam! /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif). Still, the point of clubbing is all about a combination of music and women, at least in my eyes. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Shaun: Your right, Darwen is only a short way on the train and if people are prepared to travel from Scotland, I should make an effort. Where do I get a train to? Just the obvious 'Darwen Train Station'? LOL.

Yeah, but you have to go to Victoria station, thats the only place the trains come from.
When you have the tickets, I can get the time and then I will meet you at the station.

Yeah, bouncers in Liverpool are just as bad...they actually look for trouble in the hope that they can beat the crap out of someone.

My mate worked in a bar in the city centre and said if there was the remote possibility of trouble, the bouncers would take the "trouble maker" (ie person who was too drunk, said a naughty word in public, looked at them the "wrong" way etc) around the corner of the club where the cctv didn't see and just plain lay into them till they couldn't stand.

What is the need?

I meant to help them plan their journey. I can't really give them much advice.
I don't actually know when they want to come down to be honest. I presume it will be on the Saturday morning, but they may want to come on Friday night.....

 

About the meet

Well, I'd rather come down on the Friday TBH, then I can get a lot more games for the price of the train ticket.
