The only stage which is really stupid in terms of tft ringouts is the palace, which you can ring someone out from the center of th stage.

And I have some lovely tft cheapness of my own don't worry.


I still prefer an anything goes approach to the game as it's only by having the things you have problems with thrown at you over and over that you really learn to deal with them.

Yeah the palace is a bit daft. In fact its a good place for some sick wall combos too.

My TFT combo of choice of late is TFT - light down attack of doom /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

slimadeys TFTs from our first meet were:

TFT > + > + > + > + etc.. hehe or
TFT > (I think)

Now he gets a meaty 70-80 damage thing every time. Actually hes one of our players whos really improved his game. I teeter around "incompetance (bad command input) level" mostly and seem to do simultaneously worse and better than I did the last time.

Faded's right about TFT, it IS part of his game, BUT I have been training myself in regard's to kage's excellent other throws (He DOES have some!) and the sick setup stuff post throw's is evil (in the right hand's of course!). Also, I and no other Kage player in the world designed him, Sega did, so blame them.

I've passed the point of caring about the level we play on. I'll still use him! (and sarah).

I've really be practising hard for this meet. I'm hoping to skank DLC non-stop in every combo. RAAAARRRRRRR /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

I think my main problems are that I second guess myself too much and don't know enough about chars strengths/weaknesses or how peeps like to play them. Thats all gonna change soon though as I've printed off frame data for Jeff, Wolf, Lion, Jacky, Sarah as well as Goh, Aoi, Lei, Vanessa, Pai, Kage and of course Akira and I'm watching all those replays we have.
I'm really going to try and study hard for next time. Our Kage-Akira fights are always proper bo but the Sarah-Akira fights are slightly one sided. Gonna try my best to change all that!

SF:Anniv. is SOOO good (Esp. Original Guile!).

Better practise with Sarah, she's slipping from my grip (bloody Kage!).

Yeah I've been playing quite a bit of Lei recently in an effort to give Stroppa a challenge. Also don;t think you've ever played my Pai or Vanessa. I'll try and have them ready.

Hmmm looks like some Ryu/Ken training is the order of the day also.

A quick update:

I can't say for definate yet whether we will be able to use our communal tv room yet and have a two tv/ps2 set up but, speaking to faded, Nakura and WackyJacky if we DO have the dual set up I'd like to also put on the following games:

Pro evo 3
Soul Caliber 2
SF2 ( ultra fast combination of world warror/champ edition and turbo fighting chars)
C Vs SNK

Anyone up for these games or have their own ideas as to other games that should be played?

Street Fighter could be fun, as long as it's nothing too serious.

Yeah to be honest I got SC2 the day it came out....have hardly played it since. I like the one player game of weapon master but, IMHO it doesn't match VFs supreme technical challenge nor SF2s immense measure of reaction (well in this version anyway) in versus fights. Errrr is it possible to play un-serious SF2?????hehe. faded told me you'd want to play pro evo too. Me, nakura and WJ are all big players of pro evo (some more than others).

Ahh of course GGx2 though you'd obviously have to bring your copy along. btw would Jeff (spelling?) wanna come too. He plays GG doesn't he?

Oh yeah regards sticks:

I have my SC2 hori, Ade has his namco as does Will. I presume Rick would bring one too. I have 2 pads as well. We may need a couple of other peeps to bring more pads/sticks to make sure theres enough to go round.

I only really play vf these days, so I'll stick to the vf set up methinks.

Oh yeah it was asked earlier what characers people expect to play. I'm guessing it will be 90% Kage, with smatterings of Goh, Jeffry, Akira, Jacky and maybe a little Wolf.

Yeah I think I'll be VFing most of the time too. I can play pro evo any time but I can't play many VFers any time.

I would put you down for at least another system file Faded but all the others you play are taken. Hang on Ade can Faded use your Jeff file? atm theres one win and one loss on it (as well as the afro /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif). Hmmm hope he can get to a computer to answer.

Faded you can have your very own Jeff file! (I Heard from knee ninja that you were pretty handy with him /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif)

I will destroy you all at...ummm...MGS2 yeah that works. I did every difficulty (except european extreme but I did get to the point where you and Snake fight together before the MGRay showdown) and obtained every last dog tag. RAAARRRRR come on!!!!!

btw Ade I'm gonna practise my SF2 for you. Ramsey looks forward to it as well (hes a bit good).

I don't know if it's worth me having my own Jeff file to be honest I barely use him anymore. I'll probbaly only use him a couple of times, have some mirror matches with the other Jeff player etc etc.

And yeah my Jeff used to be pretty handy but it's been so long ince I played him properly that's really not the case anymore..
