Hey yeah that 's a great idea...North England Vs Scotland tourney..I'll give it some serious thought.In the meanwhile like I say I'll try to get more players interested.

 

i think you should just train up fome o your friends at vf!
convert them from tekkensoulcaliburdeadoralive/streetfighters

 

Hi guys finaly ive found some ppl from the uk on this site, nice to see ya /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif.. I must say i use to play alot of virtua fighter 1 in the arcades and loved every minute of it but since then ive not played any of the series, however i have just orderd my copy of vf4 evolution for the ps2 and im realy looking forward to getting into it.. I use to play quake 3 online for years but i finaly need another game to play and practice on and im a big fan of the virtua fighter beat em up games.. ive tried the old tekken etc but i dont like the button bashing crap ppl use to get results so id rather master the true fighting game that vf4 is.. I havnt got the game yet but it should be with me within the next couple of days.. Anyway im down the south in plymouth but id love to meet up and play some virtua fighter 4 where ever it is , i know im not in the north but id still love to be part of the scene and get more involved with the game..By the way is there alot more ppl from the uk on this site, cheers phil /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

 

Hi their and welcome to the site good to see one more person from the UK not playing SC2 or tekken ! /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gifI've actually relatives who lived in Plymouth its a nice place...seen a few good bands on the Hoe ( radio 1 roadshow too ) but haven't been down in a while.The VF secene is fairly strong around the London area ( check the game focus thread ) so you'd be well advised to check it out!

Yep it should be good.I'm back to using EVO Sarah a bit too so I should be able to help you.

I'll PM you as soon as I'm back and hopefully we can meet up for maybe just an afternoon at first or something ( gonna be very busy ) and just play some evo.If you let me know the chars you're going to be playing as I can set us up a system file with our names on our characters on a spare mem card of mine so that we can then go on to be able to use custmised players etc...

Excellent news another north England VFer.I'm trying to organise a get together in Manchester near the ned of Septemeber if you're interested.I think slimadey and Rayne will be present for starters and obviously myself.You'd do well to check out pinking ( bradford ) and Elite ( Leeds ) too , they're closer to you than we ( I am ) are.

Hmmmm...quite,I'll remember that for future,insult peoplet till they want to play you.It would be a laugh to meet up an play but I'm not the kinda guy who gets regular free time.I could work 9-5 and come home and still have 3 hrs of stuff to go through,just depends.Thats why I started this thread to allow any possible gatherings to be planned.Also I don't play tekken.Yeah I got TTT and T4 cos they were cheap but can't even rememeber the last time I opened the box to either of them.

I have never confessed to being the world's greatest VF player (I never will be), but the challenge of mastering the game system is reason enough to play. One of other mates has just got EVO too, (he's mastering Lion), I have unforetunatley got a busy schedule comin up (my mate's wedding and I'm the best man). But will still practise till my fingers bleed.

Even the fact that my bloody data corrupted at the weekend hasn't put me off /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif . But has seemed to make me more determined. I just hope the challenge offer's don't stop. Mike I'll probably see you on Saturday, we can go Darius's (he's got a double joystick and Evo.)

Hey I know /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif. If I remember you used to beat me all the time when we starting playing 2 player. I didn't mean to sound offensive or anything. Rather that I would obsessively play Kumite trying to rank up all the time and spend hours practicing wheras both you and Ramsey wouldn't bother with it much. The only frusrating thing is that Ramsey has signed on here but never comes round for some reason.

 

Yeah when we started you didn't know how to play me as you had been too used to playing against the PS2 (which for the original VF4 was quite samey). You soon got the hang of it though.

Yes...like I told you I'm in two minds of getting some new beat em ups. I really wouldn't give them the amount of time they need to get up to a good standard. I'm too busy trying to find items/clothes/get better at etc evo for now. Still it'd be fun to have a few other beat em ups just to mess round on.
