thanx for the predictions ade, it's nice to know that my talents are recognised, and i have to agree with you about the grudge match, although andy is playing akira mostly, so a match with chris will be good as well. (andy is no where near as good with akira as he is with goh, but i am trying to get him to pick akira in the tourniment by letting him beat me at home with akira all the time, ha ha ha, hopefully this will mean easier fights for everyone, but be warned, he is still able to hold his own with akira, just not as well as goh)

p.s. hope you have improved ade, coz me and you have some intense Jacky V Sarah matches.
you can also play andy with Kage V Kage because he has started a kage up.

    TO ALL!!!!
someone please pick Jeffry coz i have improved lots with him and i want some mirror matches.

I'll give you some jeff mirror matches before the tourney, or i'll play you jacky-jacky if you prefer. I'll no doubt be playing elite goh v goh as well. (though my goh is not so hot right now but it'll be fun anyhow.)

D'oh managed to miss you probably but pinkings mate plays Lei Fei.

Ok if any one has anything important to say please post here by this afternoon. I finish at 5 tonight and then I go home and won't have access to a computer till monday morning . So, if anyone has any burning issues that need to be resolved don't bother posting here after 5 ish as I won't see it. Give me a ring or a text if its really important, otherwise I'll be seeing everyone tomorrow morning.

As you all know mine is destryoed so it would be greatly appreciated by everyone if there is more than one stick available! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ummm I wouldn't lie about having a Hori stick and two pads..?? /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Ade uses his Namco one and Will also plays with a Namco one which they'll both be bringing along and I think the Edinburgh guys are bringing some Hori sticks too.

    btw I don't have a VF4E stick its a SC2 one.

Is everyone ok with directions to the meet point etc?

    EDIT:

Heres a link to a tourney thread I've set up

    http://virtuafighter.com/versuscity/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=99309&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

If anyone wants info about things check this out. This will also be the place I'll be posting all the results and outcomes etc and also the place where hopefully Faded and possibley Rayne will be able to get some media action of ourselves onto here (or we could set up an actual North UK media thread too.)

Just thought I'd give 'mad props' to the guys who impressed me today.

Delune, is that how you spell it? Amazing play, you left me dazzled by your movement, I was quite chuffed getting one win off you /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Pinking, didn't get a chance to play you, but your Akira looked very solid and aggressive.

Darius, We had a close match in the first round of the tourney, I think I choked a bit though. Seriously good Lion.

    Elite, Solid Goh...nasty /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Shaun, I liked what I saw of your Jeff, shame I didn't get a chance to play you today.

I should really post while I'm still awake.

I fucking sucked today, sorry for anyone that had to witness it.

The two lion players, im in terror of getting you mixed up so I won't try and seperate you. I thought you both played well.

Elite - I sucked horribly bad in the tourney, I want a kage v goh rematch. In fairness though, I thought you should have won the goh v goh.

Shaun - I like your jeff, quite similar to mine. Those were some tense matches and your win was very deserved. I'd like to see your jacky, and I'd also like to try my kage on you.

my kage that is, not that half assed shit I brought today. Must have borrowed him from someone without realising.

It was fun talking to you both. We'll play again sometime soon.

As for stroppa, dark and li (team gap? /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif) Huge apoligies for basically dropping the ball in a huge way today, and basically letting the team down. I promise I won't do it again. Thanks to Li for stepping up showing we actually had at least one good player up here.

As for the gathering itself, the tourney went great1 i thought. Then things got a little unorganised after that. But still kudos to LMAkira for managing to host 18 or so players. I'm sure it will go a bit smoother next time.

I can't believe I went out in the first round! Still, at least it was against the eventual winner, makes me feel a little better. Nice to meet everyone, I'm still amazed at the high level play coming from people playing on pads /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

    Hey all.

I'm posting all the results feedback etc on another thread linked here:

    http://virtuafighter.com/versuscity/favlinker.php?Cat=&Entry=2085&F_Board=tournaments&Thread=99309&partnumber=1&postmarker=

Faded, any chance of getting some of those matches put onto this tourney thread instead of the North Uk one or Scotland one?

Big thanks to those who showed and I hope everyone got back home safely. In future I think we'll stick to a league style set up to give everyone a chance to play everyone else.

yeah sure when my tv gets delivered this week I'll be sticking my ps2 back in the same room as my computer. Then I'll start capping the matches and adding them to that thread.

Probably in groups of 3-5 matches at a time, uploaded for i dunno 24-72 hours on my webspace before i replace them with the next batch. Unless anyone else has somewhere to host them in which case i could get through them a bit quicker.

I would expect them to be around this sort of size in general. 5-8 megs each depending on number of rounds in the match.

Just thought too, if you have any probs identifying players give me a shout.

DeLune was always default blue Kage as I'm sure you'll recall and pinking default Akira. The Akira vs me was SlimAdey in default colours. Think most others should be ok/

Yeah I had a quick look at the memory card, all the files have reasonably easy to decipher initials saved as means of indentification so I should be fine.

Now you all know what a total bastard it is trying to get people to save the good matches.
