Some of the players DO use pads in London (I don't know who EXACTLY, but some do!). BTW I going to London with Will on April 9th till April 12th.

actually i only know of one person that does use a pad he is sham, though i'm pretty sure he has switched to an arcade stick now.As for him everybody else uses a stick.

Sorry for assuming too much ( /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif) Will there be good players there? I know I'm not that good, but that's the reason I'm going (to improve) , will Ryan, Dai, Mo etc be there (I'm assuming at Trocadero!), you see I've never been London b4, although Will's gonna show me around. If anyone from London is reading, could you let me know who'll be there on April 9th to the 11th. If anyone know's IronMike in London, let him know I'm coming! He's wanted me to come to London for over a year, so I better see him. BTW is it worth going Casino, or should I stick to Trocadero?

Shaun: I'm going in Will's car to London, he's giving me a lift there and back (I'm one lucky mofo!) Although if you are going, It would be great to see you there (I heard Will has room for two people). Try PMing him, his user name is Lead.

Think I already told you but theres no chance of me going to London to play the big boys I'm afraid. Hardly any money but more importantly gotta get working for my exams.

Oh Ade, got RE:CVX today...2 and a half years ago to the day I got the original PS2 one ( more or less). Just gotta do RE2 a few more times, then RE3 to get all 8 epilogues again, RE0 to get those special weapons and then try and get the Linear launcher on CV. Should well have it done for RE4 next year sometime! Hmmm VF playing could suffer slightly from this. shit then theres SH4 The room too!

Ah , Silent hill 4my most wanted game of this year (after Final Tuned, of course!). Can't wait for London, I'm actually meeting WIll outside your's on the 19th April (cos he doesn't know how to get anywhere else in Manchester!). I hope silent hill 4 has a channeling stone like the first one, I should probably get Director's cut, i wanna see the UFO ending in that! I still wanna get a perfect 10 in Silent Hill 1 (for the green hyperblaster, it has the strength of the Rifle and is INFINITE! Chamone!).

Better get my ready Kage for Battle in London!

Ahh yeah its

sgpm (wall hit) > Ohdbpm > yoho > DBC

or you can do

sgpm ( wall hit ) > stpm > DJK > DBC only in open stance for similar sicko damage.

In VF4 in a corner near a wall you could do

sgpm (wall hit) > SPoD > DBC for about 135.

I'm staying with a guy called Will (safe guy!) who uses Goh (very good player). Not too sure where he has his own apartment in London, but I'll there from 2ish on Friday, do you have a mobile no. or home no where I can contact u? If not c u in trocadero at 12 on Saturday the 20th, hope loads of peop's come, that would be sweet. BTW who do you use nowaday's?

hey slim

i personally won't be there on the 20th because i'm moving house, but i thought i'd let you know what it's like and where to go and stuff

the only decent place to play VF4e is trocadero in london.. casino only has vf4 and although play2win has vf4e on a decent-ish machine, the competition there is only really shitty tourists /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

at troc they have vf4e on VS City machines.. that is, back to back cabs where one player sits on one side and the other player sits on the machine facing him. it's a really nice setup.. makes you play better, i think. remember that where you put your money in (1p side or 2p side) is only where you can play, so if you put money in the 1p side you can't use those credits on the 2p side. hope that's clear haha.
the sticks aren't too hot, i have to say. personally i find myself doing a lot of + when i went for +, but some guys seem to have fewer problems than others. personal preference i guess.

finally, the location of the machines.. when you enter troc, head for the UCI cinema. it's on the 1st floor. if you face into the trocadero centre with your back to the cinema, the section of funland you need to be in is directly ahead of you. you can tell it's the right place because there is a load of driving and shooting games (including outrun 2, virtua cop 3, etc). the VS City machines are in the far left corner of this section.

hope you enjoy yourself man.. and good luck! most guys turn up in the evening, though, so don't be too disheartened if you get there at 2pm to find it pretty empty.. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Chris: Haven't had chance to check this out but how easy is it to struggle out of the single palm into the wall? d,dbk,bk,P is piss poor on block so it seems risky to use that combo in a fight if the single palm is easy to stagger out of.

Another thing, just wondering if you have any little tricks when using SPOD. I'd previously written it off since I used to mess it up alot. I think it's because on a pad alot of his other stuff requires insanely fast inputs whereas SPOD requires slower, more timed inputs. Anyway after a bit of messing around I found that if I do P+K+G bk THEN df, P+G AND FINALLY f, P it comes out alot easier. Is that just me being weird or do you have a quirky way of doing it too?


P.S. sorry about the confusing notation for the commands but this computer is an ass and wont let me use the symbols
