Wow don't get to a comp over the weekend and all this kicks off!

Thanks a lot for getting some of our matches on, even though they may not be that amazing. Some from our last meet were crazy. I really wanna get some of the final foghts between Shaun n Andy on sometime.

I'm not gonna troll on with many more comments aimed at you cos its just plain GAY, however I DO suggest you look the word MODESTY up in a dictionary and try and implement it into your posts.

Yeah is crap on block but you've a guaranteed follow up with P > DLC vs everyone or the sidestep > DBC thats a lot less damage as it was in Ver C. As for SPoD I do:

(on 1p side) and try to think of it as "one move" to avoid doing ++ or +++ ...which still happens anyway. I know what you mean though, i go through phases of using it and then never using it as its -15 on block which can be real risky. Its good though cos its half circular and works vs crouched opponents meaning its good to use vs someone who TRs instead of just or +. Not too sure about how struggable the combo is but I think in ver C it was more or less guaranteed. sgpm (wall hit) > dbpm can be blocked quite easily though...I'll look into it.

Getting one of the finals online would be great. As long as it's the most recent one and not Shaun's 5 match comeback from hell /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

As for Akira, I've started nailing some of his heavier damage combos more reliably lately. I actually miss using DLC all the time though since I thought it gave me a more unique (albeit less effective) style of fighting, oh well...

ade, just read your post about silent hill 4 and i have to say i fully agree with you. although i should proabably admit this to you now that i have to get andy to solve most of the puzzles as they mess my head up, still, i enjoy the design work, such as rotting flesh walls, maggot infested hospital beds and guys with huge cones on their heads wielding massive swords and spears. (yes, the second one was my favourite by far.) i mean, how sensible is James Sutherland? the guy sees a great big hole that he cannot see the bottom of, and what does he do? of course, he jumps down it...................................................................................... BACK FIRST!!!!!!!!!!
whats up with that?
hopfully the fourth one will have more of a sinister plot than the third, which was good, but a little predictable. plus, being a chick is all well and good for the first 10 mins of play, but then you get sick and tired of hearing the b!tch screaming.........

I hope you're gonna buy Nonsense Hill 4 because after playing (or rather watching you play) 3 I've kinda lost interest in the series. No pits to jump down, crap bosses and no James. Conehead should be the playable character on 4 just because it would be so much cooler than playing the wimpy chump they're bound to create.

Adrian, I've just realised, the day you get here is the after absolution, so if you can persuade this will guy to come a couple of days earlier then you will be able to watch sandro and all the other italians in action against the uk on tag and t4... also, mukki will be coming from japan for the tournament (the akira player fingers crossed) so try and come a few days earlier if you can. anyway, i'll give you a bell in the week.

Anyway, thanks for the matches guys I enjoyed them.
It was cool finally seeing LM-Akira in action, I've been waiting for that! Nice play from you as well Slim.

Yeah cheers for Faded for putting them up. We have about 3/4 of a mem card full of replay fights saved, some top quality some a bit crap. I need to sift through all the ones we have so far and transfer them to my "good" fights mem card (i have 3 /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif). Some of our final fights from the tourneys we've held are really tense to watch and there are some with much more refined play in than the ones currently up.

Just been looking at the new tweaks to Akira/Kage in FT. Akira's NEW PK look's good, cos the K now rises from Crouch, does this mean it could work in OTB combo's? (i.ei. P (whiff), K (hit's) AS3 )And Kage can now Jumonji Roll in Backturned! Hmm, that mean's u can do some serious turtlin! Namoo!

Been doin some serious work on my Kage (flow charts, foot stances etc), but am BORED of Lau, I know he's Evil when Mastered, but how boring does Df+p+k become after a day?

Have u ever wondered why Kage/Akira matches r so good to watch? It' cos it's battle of the foot stances (Kage=Open Akira=Closed). How do I know this? Well studf Hiro's Memo for Akira, you'll soon see why!!!!!! I suppose that mean's Akira has the advantage in this match, cos matches start in Closed. Hmm, I'm gonna study my theory further tonight.

SPOD MY way (Assuming Player One Side)

Part 1 ++
Part 2 + + (or +)

I try to think of it as 2 parts.

I press after the intial ++ really hard on my stick, it seem's to work MUCH better for me that way. U can 'spam' QCF or QCB + instead of the end of part 2 if u want (or lazy!).

I know my Kage will ALWAYS be better than my Akira, but I think I'd rather commit suicide than drop Akira, FOREVER SPOD!

Yeah that's how I've been doing SPOD lately too and it seems to help with the timing of the + alot. Actually started using it in real matches now which I never used to do. Look forward to testing it out on you guys next time we meet up.

i can do the spod almost everytime (i know pretty much everyone can, but this is ME we are talking about). is darius really using vanessa? she looks good and i might give her a try. hopefully we can get some good mirror matches in......

Yeh, Das is using Vanessa. Just gutted that one of her costumes isn't in the Pal version (I'm used to playing the Japanese version at the mo.) The modified new costume looks rubbish IMO.

The SPOD has REALLY good range, but if blocked or u whiff it's -15, that's a LOT, but most of Akira's moves are VVVVVBad if blocked. I still miss the 'unblockable and MID' spod from VF2, yes it was that good, plus it did about 2/3's of an energy bar. Obviously mix it up with Bf+(His two half circular's. In my mind Akira has one of the simplest and deadliest 'Wake up games' in ALL of VF, u can do elbow's, throw's, DJK, and these two moves, VERY dangerous IMO.

I'm starting to get DLC in combo's with my Akira a lot (i used to ONLY use K+G, p). Half 12, time for Lunch.

BTW it's my Bday on Friday, jeez can't blieve I'll b 24.

Chris: I went into Game today to get an RGB cable but they didn't have any. Any idea where else I can find one? Black and white is starting to bug me.
