I hear Jeff can take some sick damage in backstagger combos, I'm just upset you can use the staple sidekick for him, /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif, ahh well, he still has a 'proper' knee, so it's not all bad.

As for backstagger combos, creed put up a huge list somwhere. If you look around I'm sure you'll find loads of stuff to use. I think there was a 172 one with Akira but that was back in the days of VF4 so I expect damage to be a lot different now.

Yeah, I've seen the anti tech roll guide, but all the combo's I done so far I have come up with on my own. Feel's a lot better doing that I think, I'll have a look at it sometime today (if I get chance!).

Yeah I prefer to do my own work when it comes to specialised combos and some listed can;t really be used in evo now anyway.

Yeah, Pai can now have her crumple tool back in FT, she is SICK for backstagger's, I bet Pai player's can't wait! That guide is mainly for VF4, a lot of Jacky's, Wolf's etc (character's with a knee) have been weakened in the back stagger department because of it. Lau's still EVIL for backstagger's, tho!

in my opinion, lightweights should have a lot of advantages over other characters, as they take much more damage from most peoples combos..........

im with you on that one Ade, i prefer my own combos if i can find them, but most of the time i cant, so i just use the ones on the site (thats what they are there for, right?!?!)

Your right Shaun, I'm not sayin I've NEVER used any strat's/combo's off this website, but when you 'create' somat yourself, it feel's a LOT more satisfying.

So i txtd ram man yesterday and he should be coming but maybe only for the morning session. As for money I think £5 a head is enough and we'll put it in a bowl on top of the tv for the final fights. Plus winner gets to take home an official sega VF4evo t shirt given to me by will. I reckon we play eye of the tiger on an infinite loop again for the final fight but any suggestions as to some comedy songs for the 3rd place fight?

Third place fight, how about Beastie Boys' 'Fight for your Right!' that'd rock. Or 'The Final Countdown' by Europe, or even, 'I am the one and only' by every one's favourite mole faced washed up singer, Chesney Hawkes!

Don't know if Das will have the cash to pay for the tournie, tho.

Yeah thats what he did last time. It was well funny as it was elite versus elitev2. I turned down the tv sound, plugged in my speakers and played eye of the tiger about 8 times (as it was first to 5 to win and it ended being a nail biting 4-5 fight). For 3rd place fight we used the old eighties classic "Oh yeah" cos das was using Lion...and of course we have the running joke that lions a gaylord lol /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I'll raid my cd collection tonight and check for some good 3rd place fight music.

Oh and for the "winning ceremony" I have Queens "We are the champions".

Yeah ade I rectified that puzzlement...maybe I should have left it just to confuse people lol.

Hmmm I'll think about it. I just found out tesco do those old school party ring biscuits dirt cheap. I'll stock up on them as well as crips, jaffas n drinks.

Lets see winners getting money and a t shirt... second place gets a bit of money....I think we give the 3 rd place person pringles as a wooden spoon prize.

Just ordered r type from play. Keep meaning to pick up icaruga too. Man just been watching a top lion akira fight. Intochi or someone like that. Turbo pai was kicking ass too.

we should have a comedy theme tune for 3rd place play offs for certain, its hilarious!!!!
i like the idea of queen for the winner too, you should make everyone be silent for the entire song, whilst the winner stands in the middle of the rest of us bowwing down at the feet........................ or is this too much?????

anyways, im thinking that we should maybe give the person who comes third their £5 back, just as an extra bonus, coz looking at past performances, its more than likely that me or andy will win, but its all up to you guys. (after this time, if me and andy win then we will probably just buy take away for everyone (we would do it this time, but we are so skint that we can even afford the rent, so we are gonna be VFing REALLY hard this time.)

Nak, you almost kicked andy out of the last tournament, your are really hard to beat coz you play so different to everyone else, plus pai is so damn fast! you should enter, you only need to beat a few people to advance......
failing that we could do a knock out:

A vs B
C vs D
E vs F
G vs H

the usual way, but to avoid any complaints, we could put the letters A -H (or however many of us there is) into a hat, and then we could all just pick a letter and fight the according to the corresponding letters line ups, this way, me and andy could play each other in the first match, giving you guys more of a chance........
this is just a thought, you can go with it if you want if it will pursuade to put your money where.........the T.V. is?
