Yeah I'm up for some mirror match stuff in the morning. Still using Akira, Pai and Aoi as my mains but I'll definately use Jeff and Sarah for some mirror stuff (after all I do both have them on the system file). To recap on matches:

Morning session is warm ups and Mirrors

Afternoon session is league;

Everyone plays everyone once, in a first to 3 wins fashion (any side 1p/2p both agree to fight arena). Then we have 1st plays 3rd, 2nd plays 4th placed peeps in the league and the Eye of the Tiger final is the two winners of these fights. Semis are first to 3 as usual and final is first to 5 wins.

As for money I'm only putting in a fiver as thats all I can really afford (what with refreshments and the 3rd place prize) but if others want to put more in then thats up to them...the more in the more there is to win.

Should see you all about 10.30 outside/around the gamestation (excpet for you Dan if you do make it but we'll sort that out when the time comes).

Das will probably be late (as usual), I'll be there at 10ish, I'll text u Chris when I arrive (just in case I can walk round early).

Do I have my Sarah on champion rank Chris, shame I don't have a Lau file, but I can't have everything I guess. Still I'll be using him loads tomoz, he's proper bo I tell thee!

Your Sarahs on like Dans I think but mines only on Warrior. You can have LiMengs Lau file actually, its not like its gonna get much use these days!! Its the one with the mad face paint and helmet on.

btw I'll be in the tesco about 10ish getting all the stuff so I'll probably see you outside or there abouts.

Chuffed about the Lau file. I'll be gunning for third place, you don't offer me beer and NOT GIVE IT TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif). Do you hav any orb items for my Sarah/Jacky/Lau?

Jacky has 6 orbs and the others have maybe one or two can't recall. Not many special items though.Looks like the incentive of beer should push mine AND your games into being better tomorrow...at least thats the plan!!! Lets see if it works. In the words of will young

I really can't afford anything cos I am lame... spent way too much this month including FFX International (the speed difference is RIDICULOUS)!

I'll be there in the morning I hope though, not entirely sure how long I will stay as I have things to do /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif - Im happy to sit out of the tournament if needs be, its not like I will have much of an impact anyway /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Again, I'm only writing the following stuff for 'Final Clarification' about the Manchester Foster's League on the 15th May 2004

Player's: (Remember a 2 character limit and only one character per 'round')

LM_Akira: Akira/Aoi OR Pai
Rayne: Lion
Nakura: Pai
WackyJacky: Jacky/Lau
Super Lion: Lion/Pai OR Vanessa (Maybe, think he's dropped them?)
Elite: Akira/Goh
EliteV2: Jacky/Jeff

Who I'm going to use vs who and why: (Remember, these are subject to change at a later date! /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif)

EV2: If Shaun uses Jacky, I'll use Sarah, mainly due to a faster jab (11-12) and enuff kick's to deter him from using neteural punch reversal thingy. Gotta, attack, attack, attack, attackkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

However, if he uses Jeffrey, my Lau could go wild with punch string's (due to no reversal's/sabaki) and could pitbull the hell outta him. A two frame jab advantage would be good as well.

Definetley my hardest fight, well up there with:

Elite: I think I'll probably use Sarah for both Akira/Goh. I don't really wanna be picking Lau for Akira, it's suicide! I've gotta use Sarah's long leg's to get into flamingo at a distance then beast Akira/Goh with her flamingo mixup's and evil throw game up close. Again a 1 frame jab advantage could prove decisive.

Another hard fight.

Super Lion: My most played oppenent and ironically the one I kinda fear the most. The use of basic set-ups and flowchart's, low attack abuse mixed with serious same throw abuse really throw's my game, especially when I expect mix-ups and get hit by th same stuff over and over, however his game has improved dramatically over the past few meet's, I'm gonna need low to pitbull and pitbull over and over and NOT stop attacking! I find being defensive is NOT a good option versus Darius, better to keep on the offensive.

I'll be using Lau versus my man, he destroy's my Sarah for fun. Definetley one of my key fight's, especially if I wanna get my hand's on the foster's!

LM_Akira: Now we reach the organiser, the Akira addict player that is Chris. With the dedicated nature of his style, I've gotta keep my watch out for reversal's/sabaki, his love of PIT Throw, and the fact he's pretty much nailed DLC in Combo's mean one mistake and I'm losing half a bar.

Of course I'm assuming he'll pick Akira, cos he could of course pick Aoi, who I hate fighting cos of her defensive nature (ironic that she excel's with high damage combos as well! /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif). Although this could open the window for throw's.

Bascially I have a proven track record of victory over Chris with Sarah, so I'm gonna be using her for him, I just gotta remember how much he's improved!

Hopefully my training will lead to Victory VS. Chris, but I know he's got fuzzy guarding almost nailed, so it's gonna be hard. If pitbulling doesn't work, I'll switch to turtling if I lose the first fight, I can turtle for the UK! Chamone!

SlimAdey: It's probably time to anaylise myself. My main problem WAS switching chracter's AGAIN AND AGAIN, always undecided on who to master. Sarah has alway's been my 'Best' Character, and it's ironic I've gone full circle and now use her as my main (With Jacky and Lau just behind). While I would like to revert back to Kage, I think I should hold fire until I get some victories with my girl for the time being. As my I like the ninja, I alway's feel more confident in a fight with Sarah, mainly due to the strong flow chart's she has and an impressive throw direction game, her lightweight being a bad minus, but I try and remain positive, not negative so Chamone MoFo! /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

If I keep practising the way I have been for the past week, I will defenetley improve my Vf gaming skills and with my imminent trip to London on the 4th June, I can't fail! ( /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif).

I've just gotta keep the following word's in my head: Practice, Travel and Dedication!

Oh F***! My frigging system file that I have used since the game came out (with 1000's of matches recorded) has decided to corrupt itself the day before the tourney.Bugger.

ok, if people want to put more money in then me and andy will match it, as long as it doesnt go above £10 each (although i am pretty confident in winning, i still think it is disrespectful to turn up without the money and just say that i will win, so i can only afford a tenner for me and a tenner for andy, sorry)

Ade, how do you know which person i will use against you? i can just sit and let the timer count down the same as you can. (not that i will, im not that petty, im just curious as to how you know who i will pick).

Ok. the tournament was quite cool, people have obviously been practicing.

Chris:
only got to fight you once, but you did land some cheeky moves on me. (reversal and sabaki seem to ring a bell). hopefully you will keep improving.

Ade:
your Jacky is quite good, you know? i like the way you play him differently to me. you seem to prefer all of his same pokes, wheras i prefer to set up for big damage. i liked the mirror matches.

Steve:
not as impressive as last time im afraid, still, six spinning kicks in a row really does confuse the opponent. i was always thinking, "he wont do it AGAIN will he?" but alas, i fall again to the spinning kick. well done.

Darius:
DAMN YOU! we were all looking to you to beat Dan, as you play Lion and so you should know his moves. too bad i guess.

Rambo:
your letting yourself slip man, where are all the flip kicks and the high sweep low sweeps?

Elite:
played well, although not as good as you usually do. still not bad play, this time Goh did better than Akira! strange how it always seems to change.

Dan:
EVERYONE BEWARE, THIS GUY IS A CHEAP ASS AND HE USES TOP BUTTONS WITH MULTIPLE BUTTON COMMANDS SET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A very good tournie, even though I came 4th! /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif Still had a good time and I even surprised my self by using Kage for the majority of the tournie.

Shaun: Great Jacky and your right you defentley go for big damage whereas I play safe much more, although since then, I have been practising Jacky to death, and now have his backstagger combo's down to a fine art /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif. It felt good getting some win's against you (for a change!) Also a dominant Jeff, I'm not looking forward to the 'improved' Jeff in FT.

Andy: Great Goh, as always. That hit throw thing he's got you've got down to a t! However I think you underestimate your Kage, which is easily better than mine, and he's supposed to my main character! /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif Again, I'm not looking forward to the 'imptoved' Goh in FT! Also a good wolf in the final.

Chris: OK, so you didn't get many win's, but your dedication to Akira is cool. Stick to Akira/Pai man, their your best character's.

Darius: Ok, so you got NO wins, but we had some cool matches at your's yesterday, the Sarah/Jacky and Lau/Pai matches rocked, remember I NEARLY lost the Lau/Pai first to ten, and admittley has to skank my way to victory! Stick with Sarah/Pai man, you know you want to!

Ramsey: A self admitted 'Casual' player, I still hope you keep playing VF, the more the merrier.

Steve: You had my Kage on the run in the tournie, keep it up! Your Pai has serious potential.

Rayne: Finally someone has broken the Shaun/Andy strangehold on our meet's, your Lion really is good, although you mentioned you might start to use a stick? You know it makes sense! Also a VERY good Sarah (defentley better than mine!) Good work.

I hope everyone keep's the standard up for September. I'm going London in three week's, gonna test my Kage/Jacky skills. Chamone Ch Ch Check Chamone!

Ade, in the league part, i did let you win so that i could come forth, but the wins you got against me when you first picked jacky (when just me, you and andy were there) we legit. so was the one you got in the 3rd place play offs. sorry about the beer man, but i had to use it as a bargaining tool with my next door neighbour.
also, the "stranglehold" was only broken coz the guy was cheating and non of you guys really had the balls to stand up to him, and so i had to back down coz i didnt want to seem like i was whining. (although Chris did ban them, he still sat there and refused to play without them, i thought this was a little childish, but you all didnt seem to mind. still, a loss is a loss i guess.) i will just have to beat him next time.
